Last week, Netflix premiered an ambitious series of Daredevil. The show was produced with Marvel and uses one of their beloved comic-book characters, and the show has a dark streak that is different from other Marvel cinematic projects like The Avengers, Spider-man, or even the X-men and all those related Stan Lee created properties. Here's everything we know about Daredevil Season 2 release date, cast, spoilers, and rumors.
Will there be a Season 2?
I figure I should probably address a question that would affect the rest of this article right away. According to Comics Alliance, demand for Daredevil was so high that it seemed to crash Netflix's servers, and the reviews have been phenomenally positive. I knew several friends who are not even comic-book readers claim that they want to binge-watch all 13 episodes last weekend, so it would be very surprising if Netflix didn't greenlight a second season, if not a third season. So far, there has been no official announcement, but I would simply expect it, and we will hopefully see Season 2 as soon as possible, which probably won't be until Spring 2016.

How will this Daredevil series tie in to The Defenders?
For those of you who do not know, Daredevil is apparently part of a bigger plan for Marvel to develop their cinematic universe. According to Screen Rant, Marvel wants to make a mini-series known as The Defenders which will bring in Daredevil as well as other Marvel Universe characters like Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, who they intend to all have their own shows. The Defenders series has very minimal description on its imdb page, but something like this could be as big as The Avengers. Many have already noticed that Daredevil is introducing a villainous group known as The Hand, a ninja group from Marvel comics.
Will Claire Temple have a bigger role?
Rosario Dawson's character Claire Temple is pulled from Marvel comics, but she is more of a love interest to Luke Cage than Daredevil. Perhaps this question should be addressed about Karen Page, who was a love interest of Daredevil from the comic.
Will Daredevil attempt to tie in with Marvel's cinematic universe?
Considering that the show is a hit, I honestly don't think that Marvel could help itself. It appears that Hell's Kitchen, the setting of the show, constantly references a big attack, and Wesley, a villain's henchmen and friend to the Kingpin, references a man in an iron suit and a guy with a hammer. Clearly, these are references to Iron Man and Thor from Avengers. I wouldn't be surprised if there are ties with some of ABC's shows like Agent Carter or Agents of SHIELD, but the show's violent TV-MA rating probably prevented Daredevil from airing on ABC with those shows.
Where are Elektra and Bullseye?
These two characters are Daredevil side-characters who have become fan favorites. They were featured very prominently in the 2003 film, but a lot of Daredevil fans are trying to forget that one. Foggy Nelson does mention that Matt Murdock dated a Greek girl in college, so Elektra could make an appearance in a later season. There is also an episode with a sniper who has a deck of cards that could be a Bullseye reference.
Is Bob Gunton's son the Owl?
Bob Gunton plays a crime boss named Leland Owlsley on the show, and in the comic, he is known as a supervillain known as the Owl. Leland never becomes this persona, but he does make reference to the fact that he has a son named Lee. Perhaps he will become the famous villain with the claws.
