Both Netflix and Marvel certainly knew that they had a hit on their hands when Daredevil Season 1 became an overnight hit. Naturally, Season 2 of Daredevil was green-lit, and this is what is known about the Daredevil Season 2 from the Trailer. These five spoilers will be confirmed when Daredevil has its Release Date sometime in Spring 2016, and it shows how busy Daredevil will be.
1) Matt is Feeling Guilty
The trailer shows Matt Murdock (Daredevil's alter-ego) in front of a priest, explaining or confessing what it is that he does. One of the things that made Daredevil such a good show is it shows how going around and beating up bad guys might be good for justice, but bad for the heart. Unlike Superman, Batman, or Spider-Man, a lot of time is spent on how acting as a vigilante would affect you in a real, psychological way. This looks like it will be taken to the next level in Season 2.
2) Night Nurse Claire Temple will return.
There is a shot of Rosario Dawson's character Claire Temple in the trailer, and it looks like she will be appearing a lot in Season 2. She was essentially a wound-treating character in Season 1, and it is not known what her involvement is this season. Dawson is also set to play the same character on Luke Cage when it premieres in 2016, and she will have a role in Jessica Jones when it premieres on November 20, 2015. This will tie into Marvel's long term plan with the Defenders, and very little is known about that.
3) Karen Page to learn Matt's Secret Identity?
This could just be trick-editing on the trailer's part. However, it shows Matt (Charlie Cox), Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson), and Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) sitting in a church pew side-by-side, with a voiceover of Matt talking about his guilt. Then right after this shot is a priest discussing guilt. Why would Karen be a part of this conversation? Well, maybe she found out that Matt is Daredevil, and she's dealing with it like Foggy had to deal with the knowledge in Season 1. Of course, in the comics, Karen found out Matt was Daredevil, and they had a relationship. She also died, but that could come in another season.
4) The Punisher Comes to Town
Marvel has also made it no secret that Jon Bernthal will be portraying Frank Castle, better known as the Punisher. On the trailer, he is seen walking down a hall looking very tough, and an X-ray of a skull reveals his comic book trademark as The Punisher wears a skull on his chest. In the comics, The Punisher is a gun-toting vigilante who will kill criminals, and this anti-hero will face Daredevil in some form as their methods of law-enforcement will most certainly clash. A similar problem will probably occur with Elektra.
5) Elektra is here
Marvel also has kept it no secret that Elodie Yung will be playing the fan-favorite character Elektra, and she can be seen very briefly putting on a veil, which was occasionally part of her costume in the comics. This will probably be Matt's love interest rather than Karen.
