With the Dead Rising 3 PC version scheduled for release on Sept. 5, Capcom has unveiled more details that offers a glimpse into the future.
Here are two things that player should expect to see when the game starts hitting the shelves in the fall.

The PC Version Has Been Capped to 30 FPS

Back in June, a Capcom representative announced that his company will be capping the PC version's frame rate to just 30 FPS. In gaming parlance, this means players will not be seeing Dead Rising 3 in 1080p, which requires at least 60 FPS to run.

"When we started the PC project - kinda at the very, very end of last year, beginning of this year - we knew that we weren't able to guarantee running above 30 frames per second," said spokesperson Neil Gordon on the Capcom Unity Twitch Channel.

The Capcom representative went on to imply that players can still modify the game settings to run on a faster frame rate.

"We're not going to stop you from uncapping the frame-rate, seeing what your hardware can really do with this game, Gordon added. "But, we can't guarantee the experience, you know, because we just don't know what's going to happen."

Over at Steam Community, commentator Wbacon observed that Dead Rising 3 may run faster than 30 frames-per-second, provided that the player is using strong hardware. The Capcom developer also shared a video showing gameplay from the uncapped modification of the game.

Dead Rising 3 (PC) Will Be Titled, Apocalypse Edition

Capcom recently tweeted that it was assigning a new title for the Dead Rising 3 PC version.

"Dead Rising 3 on the PC is now known as Dead Rising 3 Apocalypse Edition," Capcom announced on Tuesday. The posting added that the PC version will come with "all four Untold Stories Los Perdidos" DLC.

Consumers who have already pre-ordered Dead Rising 3 will still get the Apocalypse Edition upgrade, according to information posted on the Steam online store. For a limited time, Steam is offering a Dead Rising 3 pre-order sale with 10% discount.

All copies of the PC release will include the Brady Games Dead Rising 3 strategy guide and official digital art book. The game will also include commentary from the Dead Rising's creators, explaining the process behind the former's development.
