Denver Broncos 2016 Season Update: Von Miller Addresses Team’s Situation with Struggling Offensive Line

For a team that recently came from winning the Super Bowl last year, the Denver Broncos are performing rather poorly in the 2016 NFL season. But, despite the offensive issues that the team is currently experiencing, star linebacker Von Miller is still confident about the squad's fate this year.

Currently, the Broncos are holding on to a record of 8-4, following their Week 13 victory against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

However, even though they already have playoff contention with this record, they are still trailing behind the Kansas City Chiefs and the Oakland Raiders in their division.

More importantly, they're not being regarded as a strong Super Bowl contender based on the way they're playing right now. Much of the team's poor performance has been attributed to their struggling quarterback bench, which began after Peyton Manning and Brock Osweiler left during the offseason.
Since then, the Broncos has resorted to Trevor Siemian and his backup Paxton Lynch. Following Siemian's injury, Lynch was recently named as the team's new starter.

Although there were a lot of doubts about what Lynch can do on the field, speculations about a poor performance were put to an end after he led the team to a victory against the Jaguars.

Before the game, Miller noted that he's confident that Lynch will be able to improve Denver's offense.

"He's shown greatness," Miller said according to Broncos Wire. "I would think that he's going to come out here Sunday and do the same thing. I have full faith in Paxton and what we're doing on offense."

But, despite the slight improvement that the Broncos have shown on Sunday, they are still facing a tough road ahead in their division. For the final four games, they will face off against some of the league's strongest teams, such as the Raiders, Chiefs and the New England Patriots.

As noted by Miller, the team is considering every game as a must-win scenario.

"You could put a must-win on every game," he said according to ESPN. "We play football in the National Football League. It's about winning. It's not about going out there and losing; it's about winning. Every time we step out on the football field, that's what we try to do."

"That doesn't always happen, where you win, but that's what we're going out there to do," he added. "This weekend, that's what we're going out there to do."
