The Duck Dynasty family is leaning on faith as they navigate serious health struggles affecting both Phil and Miss Kay Robertson. While Phil, the Robertson patriarch, is facing Alzheimer’s disease, his wife, Miss Kay, recently suffered a severe leg injury from a fall.
Phil Robertson’s Condition Improves After Public Announcement
According to Christian Post, Phil Robertson was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in December 2024, a revelation his family initially kept private. However, after going public, Phil’s son Jase Robertson shared that his father has shown notable improvement, something he attributes to both medical care and the overwhelming prayers from their supporters.
"I really believe in the power of prayer now more than ever," Jase said in a podcast interview, as quoted by Christian Post. "We’re incredibly grateful for everyone lifting my dad up in their prayers."
Before revealing Phil’s condition to the public, Jase admitted he was deeply concerned about his father’s health, fearing that his time was limited. But since sharing the news, Phil has been more engaged and responsive, much to the relief of his loved ones.
Miss Kay Suffers Serious Fall, Now Recovering
While Phil continues to battle his illness, the family is also caring for Miss Kay Robertson, who recently suffered a significant leg injury. According to Reach FM, she fell and suffered a deep wound near her kneecap, which required immediate medical attention.
Jase described the injury as serious and alarming but assured fans that his mother is recovering at home with a leg brace. "She’s doing much better now," Jase said, as reported by Church Leaders.
Faith and Family Keep Them Strong
The Robertsons have long credited their Christian faith for guiding them through difficult times. Jase emphasized that despite the hardships, his family remains united and hopeful.
"Seeing my dad improve and knowing my mom is healing gives us strength," Jase shared, as quoted by Church Leaders. "We believe in the power of prayer, and we’re grateful for everyone who has supported us."
As the family continues to care for both Phil and Miss Kay, they have received an outpouring of well-wishes from fans and fellow believers. They remain committed to sharing their journey, offering hope to others facing similar struggles.
