Phil Robertson, patriarch of the "Duck Dynasty" Robertson family, will address the 11th annual Values Voter Summit on Friday, just ahead of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

According to a press release, both Trump and Hillary Clinton have been invited to make their case to social conservative voters at the event, which is sponsored by the Family Research Council, First Liberty Institute, American Values, and other conservative organizations. Trump is slated to speak at the event on September 10th.

In addition to Robertson and Trump, speakers include Dr. James Dobson, actor Jon Voight, Lt. Col. (Ret.) Oliver North, Duck Dynasty's Al Robertson, Lt. Col. (Ret.) Allen West, Michele Bachmann, Rick Santorum, Lt. General (Ret.) Jerry Boykin, Sebastian Gorka, Philip Haney, and many more.

Robertson has never shied away from expressing his political and religious views, and while his son, Willie, supported Trump from the very beginning, he initially endorsed the billionaire businessman's opponent, Ted Cruz, for the White House. However, the "Duck Commander" joined his son in supporting Trump after Cruz withdrew from the race, and said he believes God will be the source of the businessman's common sense as well.

In a separate interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the reality star said he will always vote on the Republican ticket due to his views on abortion.

"I'll go with the platform that I discovered when I was 28," he said. "I looked at the Democrats and the Republicans, and at least the Republicans aren't for killing their children or for perversion, so I'm a Republican. So I'll back old Donald."

When asked if he thinks Clinton is a "good candidate" on the other side, Robertson said her "long" record proves otherwise: "I know which way we'll go with her, but I'm not sure with Donald. And remember, I'm a hunter. We shoot squirrels and ducks and eat 'em, and she says she'll take our guns. All we're doing is shooting targets, and alligators and cottonmouth snakes, and she wants to take that away from us?"

Recently, he told Breitbart that America is currently in a "spiritual crisis, no doubt about that" and asserted that the country needs a spiritual fix - not a political one.

"It's more of a spiritual fix than it is a political one, in my opinion," Robertson said. "Therefore, we can pray for our country, but the last thing we want to do is sit at home. We have to get rid of this politically correct crap and go back to biblical correctness."

"There is no downside to loving God and loving your neighbor, for crying out loud. I wish we would just try keeping two of God's laws: don't murder and don't steal. It's two of the top 10. I wonder if we just kept those two, would life be better? What do you think?" he asked.

The 11th annual Values Voter Summit will be held from September 9-11 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C. For a schedule and more information on this year's Values Voter Summit, please visit: http://www.valuesvotersummit.org/
