Coming in July.  Codemasters

The newest version of F1, F1 2015, will be released soon.  Unfortunately, there has been a delay, and part of the reason is that it is attempting to create a very authentic F1 racing experience.  The release date for F1 2015 will be in July, which has never happened for the series, and it will be for PS4, PC, and the Xbox One.

A recent announcement by Codemasters has revealed that the release date of F1 2015 in Europe has been pushed back from June 12 to July 10, 2015 in Europe, and to July 12 in North America, according to IGN.  UK players who pre-order the game from GAME will receive "exclusive pre-order items" including a F1 2015 metal case and hints 'n' tips guidebook entitled "Race Like a Champion".  North American gamers can get their hands on a metal case by pre-ordering from GameStop/EB Games.

There is a new trailer for F1 2015, and I took a freeze-frame from the trailer.  Do you see the date of 10.07.2015 on there?  I really hope that isn't the release date, for October?  Okay, I believe that this date is the old date, and in Europe, they reverse month and the day.

The trailer really blurs the line between video game and live-action.  There are times where I am seeing people move around the cars, and all I can think of is how realistic it looks.  Granted, there are times where it looks like the cars were computer generated effects, but it looks to be a very decent video game.

According to Venture Capital Post, F1 2015 will run at 1080p on the PlayStation 4 and 900p on the Xbox One.  Codemasters game designer Steven Embling stated a few days ago that "the team are optimizing right until the end and it's looking like we're going to hit that target".  I think that we can safely assume that F1 2015 will be optimized for the PC as well, and I can't help but wonder how it would do on a 4K display.

Embling also said that the team is also making efforts on getting the authenticity of each car in the real F1 2015 for the F1 2015 game.  The Latino Post reports that F1 2015 plans to give players a truly cinematic experience as there will be some new opening sequences, grid sequences, on-track celebrations, and even podium champagne, all voiced by Sky F1's commentators David Croft and Anthony Davidson.  The principal game designer, Lee Mather, has stated that there are scripts and introductions to the race to make the gameplay even better, and this script has recordings of hundreds of thousands of lines to cover all permutations of result and events throughout the season.

Ubergizmo also reported another feature of F1 2015.  It will have voice integration with the PlayStation Camera and Kinect, as players will be given the ability to ask questions on the weather, the race itself, and request a tire change.

According to Venture Capital Post, there will be more to the new F1 2015 game then just scripted announcers and talking to the game.  After all, players have come to race, and there have been improvements on that.  Lee Mather has promised "something special" as the cars were reportedly customized to give players the "ultimate racing experience", complete with radio transmission and a new tire physics model.

The official F1 2015 blog from Codemasters has stated that "the new model delivers enhancements and additions in over 20 areas including engine and transmission, aero dynamics, fuel tank, force feedback, suspension...creating a truly breathtaking and realistic representation of how these cars handle on the track".

There are even more challenges as even masters of the game are warned to prepare themselves for a set of incredibly enhanced driving skills of the game's new Artificial Intelligence, which is designed to think and act as a human opponent.

In addition to those features, there is also an inclusion of a career mode, and advanced subplots available for seasoned players.  This option allows the players to pick their favorite character and go out into the races.

As we stated before, the F1 2015 game will be released in Europe on July 10th, but will be released on July 12th in North America.
