'Fallout 4' New DLC Packs Released, Beta Testers Get Packs Early and for Free

Fans of "Fallout 4" are surely now rejoicing. Bethesda just announced three upcoming add-on packs to the smash hit game on Tuesday. PC players of the game in particular, will get a chance to access its DLC content early and free of charge!

According to Bethesda, the three bunches of DLC are Automatron, Wasteland Workshop, and Far Harbor. Automatron is coming this March for just $10. The pack will pit players to fight against a group of robots unleaded by the evil Mechanist. 

The Wasteland Workshop is worth $5 and will be released in April. With this pack, players can design and put up cages that will catch live creatures. These creatures will be later on used for post-apocalyptic bloodposrts. They will be fighting each other. This DLC pack also comes with several new design elements to enable the players to customer their settlement. The third DLC pack is the First Harbor DLC. Priced at $25, users can start downloading this in May. 

For those who cannot wait for the three to be released, there is one way to experience the DLC content early and for free. According to Ars Technica, the PC players of this game can serve as beta testers. When they become beta-testers, they get to have free access to the game. Bethesda even said that the free access is not for a limited time only. All DLC beta testers can keep the content for free and for good. This enables the players to monitor their games.

The publisher behind the three new DLC packs also detailed in a blog post that this is only the start. Fans can expect more upgrades and adventures with their games. "this is only the beginning. We have plans for more. More than $60 worth of new Fallout adventures and features throughout 2016," the post reads. 

Unfortunately, the company decided to increase the price of the "Fallout 4" season pass. "Given the expanded DLC plan, the price of the season pass will increase from the current $29.99 to $49.99 USD (£24.99 to £39.99 GBP; $49.95 to $79.95 AUD) on March 1, 2016."

Those who already bought their season pass or planning to buy well before March 1 will not be affected by this increase. "This is our way of saying thanks to all our loyal fans who have believed in us and supported us over the years," the post further detailed.
