Fans of the Philadelphia Eagles should expect more Tebow time, as the current fan-favorite quarterback Tim Tebow is expected to formally make it to the team's 53-man roster, sports analysts predicted.

After a strong showing in the Eagle's pre-season game against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday which they handily won, 36-10, Tebow is a sure fit for the third quarterback position for the Eagles, NJ.com reported.

The report said that the Eagles are expected to keep Sam Bradford, Mark Sanchez, and Tim Tebow for the quarterback position, but not make a major shakeup until the September 5 deadline to complete its lineup.

An earlier report by NJ.com expressed doubt about Tebow's prospect for the third-quarterback job. While Tebow, who has a sub-50 percent completion percentage in his three seasons in the NFL (35 games, 16 starts), has shown a lot of improvement, he has not shown consistent performance during practice.

But Tebow is working harder than the other guys on his team. While most of his teammates have left the field to meet reporters for interview or head to the shower room after practice, Tebow is still on the field running sprints, throwing passes, working on his new throwing motion and doing everything that is necessary to revive his NFL career.

Tebow told the New Jersey Advance Media on Tuesday after another round of physically-exhausting practice, "I'm just trying to find ways to improve. In football you're always trying to find that edge. The best way to find that edge is to put in the time, the extra work. Find things you might not have done well in practice and come out here afterwards and work on it."

Tebow Started Strong Against The Colts

During last Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts, Tebow actually started strong, even scoring a touchdown, before declining the rest of the game.

In his first drive, Tebow went4-of-5 for 43 yards and looked much more compact and converted a third-and-12. However, after the first drive, Tebow fell again into some bad habits and held the ball quite too long on his second drive and did not see the tailback sneak out of the backfield wide open and threw the ball into the ground.

But despite showing some rust in his game, Tebow still finished the game. Tebow kept the ball on a read option and ran to the right and got into the end zone for a 7-yard touchdown run. He finished the game 6-of-12 for 69 yards passing and scored 15 rushing yards on four attempts.

But still, there is no denying that Tebow is the most popular Eagles player. He literally had to calm down the crowd who are wildly cheering for him. At some point in the game, the chanting was so loud it was disrupting him calling out signals of the play to his teammates.
