Producers of 'Fast and Furious 7' are looking for background extras to fill in scenes that will be filmed next month, according to a recent release.

On Monday, Rich King Casting put out a notice on Backstage.com for an audition scheduled to be held in Lancaster, CA on June 21. Interested applicants are being asked to either Log In or Sign Up for a new account on the site.

Casting is open to males and females (ages 18-30) of "all races, all shapes, and sizes". Compensation includes food and pay, with "no fees or charges of any kind" required. Filming for the scenes is scheduled for the week of July 7 in the areas of Lancaster and Palmdale, CA.

Latest Production Spoilers: Tension on the Set

Scheduling delays and Paul Walker reshoots were not the only thing rumored to be dogging film production. Last Friday, it was alleged that Walker co-star Vin Diesel had contributed to some of the problems

"Vin spent a whole day in his trailer one day," an insider said to Hollywood Reporter. "The next day, they waited four hours for him."

Universal Pictures, which owns the rights to the Fast and Furious franchise, denied that the 46-year-old actor was causing any trouble to the production.

"This production is working through some challenges that are historically unprecedented," said Universal chairman Donna Langley, in the same report. "The crew and cast, led by Vin, have been nothing but terrific under these circumstances."

'Fast and Furious 7' was originally slated for release this year, but was delayed following the tragic car accident and death of Paul Walker -- best known for his portrayal of undercover cop Brian O'Conner in the series.

The franchise's seventh installment fell into production limbo after filmmakers decided to stop filming in order to rework the script. Filming for the next Fast and Furious film resumed on March 31.

Paul Walker's brothers Cody and Caleb were later recruited as body-doubles, with Cody providing the eyes and Caleb replicating his deceased brother's body and mannerism. Supplementing the lookalikes included intensive CGI work done by New Zealand-based Weta Digital -- credited with special effects for 'Lord of the Rings' and 2014's 'Godzilla'.

Universal reportedly placed an insurance claim at $50 million to cover the cost of recreating Paul Walker's character for the movie. If true, this will amount to the largest insurance claim in film industry history.

'Fast and Furious 7' will have its premiere date on April 3, 2015.
