The NBA is filled with inspiring people who serve as the epitome of hard work and determination. These are the types of individuals BBVA Compass celebrates in the company's #BrightFutures campaign. This year, the basketball community has two representatives for the campaign: Kevin Durant and Becky Harmon.

BBVA Compass aims to launch the #BrightFutures campaign to evoke optimism among the members of the public. Jennifer Kelly, the BBVA Compass chief marketing and digital sales officer, shared that the company sets out "to define our 10 bright-future principles so that we could share what we've learned about the path to success."

These principles include "Know where you're going" and "Dare to be you." These also feature "Work to your strengths," "Ask for help," "Be fearless" and "Find success in failure." "Challenge your status quo," "Remember your roots" and "Show appreciation" are also included. Rounding up the 10 principles of BBVA Compass is "#livebright."

Durant is chosen for the "Dare to be you" segment. The Oklahoma City Thunder star is a returning player to the NBA-All star this February. One of the most widely recognized and awarded basketball stars today, Durant has served as an inspiration for the youth and aspiring athletes.

Meanwhile, Hammon is featured in the "Know where you're going" portion. A former basketball player, the 38-year-old is an assistant coach for the San Antonio Spurs. With Gregg Popovich chosen to coach the Western Conference in the 2016 NBA All-Star weekend, Hammon becomes the first ever female coach to be part of the event.

"Kevin and Becky epitomize what you can do when you believe in yourself and stick to your goals," said Kelly of the #BrightFutures campaign. The BBVA Compass exec added, "They live bright every day and they're helping us convey our own goal, our ultimate purpose, which is to light the way to a brighter future for our clients."

For her part, Hammon shared that she highly values the opportunity to be part of the #BrightFutures campaign. She shared, "I'm proud to be part of BBVA Compass' bright-futures movement because it captures what it means to be a striver, a believer in yourself so you can reach your fullest potential."

Hammon further noted, "Everyone deserves a bright future, and if BBVA Compass wants to help people get where they want to go, and my story can serve as an inspiration, I'm all in."

In a statement, Hammon went on to share her goals in joining the BBVA Compass #BrightFutures campaign. She said, "I want people to look at me and see someone just like they are -- not unusually tall or the strongest one out there -- who was able to accomplish some pretty great things by just reaching for them."
