Actress-turned-Republican pundit Stacey Dash and Lt. Col Ralph Peters have received two-week suspensions from Fox News after they used profanity when discussing President Obama's strategy regarding terrorism.
Dash, who is a professing Christian and is best known for her role in the 1995 hit film "Clueless," appeared on the Fox News program "Outnumbered" on Monday morning to share her thoughts on Obama's speech regarding ISIS and domestic terrorism following the San Bernardino shooting massacre.
"I did not feel any better. I did not feel any passion from him. I felt like he couldn't give a sh-- - excuse me, like he could care less," she said.
In turn, Peters let some profanities slip while talking to Fox Business correspondent Stuart Varney about the President's seeming lack of concern regarding terrorism.
"Mr. President, we're not afraid, we're angry, we're pissed off, we're furious! We want you to react, we want you to do something!" Peters said. "You're afraid. This guy is such a total pussy, it's stunning."
Both were suspended shortly after that, with Fox News releasing a statement apologizing for the move.
"Earlier today, FOX contributors Lt. Col. Ralph Peters and Stacey Dash made comments on different programs that were completely inappropriate and unacceptable for our air," said Bill Shine, Senior Executive Vice President of Programming, in a statement. "FOX Business Network and FOX News Channel do not condone the use of such language, and have suspended both Peters and Dash for two weeks."
Both Dash and Peters confirmed the suspense via Twitter: "Consequences. Some of us have to pay them. Gladly," Dash tweeted.
Following news of the suspension, viewers and fans alike threw their support via social media toward the on-air pundits with two trending hashtags: #IStandWithStaceyDash and #IStandWithRalph.
"Instead of suspending them, Fox should give them a raise and a medal for having the guts to tell the truth about it sorry excuse for a "president!" wrote one commenter.
"The profanity may not be appropriate - but Stacy Dash's analysis is spot on. Maybe she should run for president. At least she cares about the country," wrote another commenter.
While there is certainly no need for crude language on the air, the conservative actress frequently shares her thoughts regarding hot-button topics.
Following critic's' negative reviews of the movie "Moms' Night Out," a faith-based comedy that portrays women in conventional roles, the actress tweeted about the hypocrisy of "pro-choice" critics who are sexist in their own way.
"Female critics of [Mom's Night Out] are VERY pro-choice. Unless of course a woman chooses to be a homemaker. Then, of course, she's a moron," she posted.
She added in a follow-up tweet, "If you want to see sexism, read some of the "critics" "reviews" of #MomsNightOut! They insult every stay-at-home mom in the US #Twits."
