Franklin Graham has accused the secular media of "incredible bias" - especially when it comes to rival presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump - and reminded Christians this election is ultimately about the future of the Supreme Court and religious freedom.
"Isn't the media bias incredible--especially relating to political candidates?" Graham began a lengthy Facebook post before quoting Fox News correspondent Geraldo Rivera, who during a Sunday night appearance said he has never seen the media be more biased against a presidential candidate than Trump.
"They spin story after story against the candidates they don't like and in favor of the candidates they support," Franklin Graham continued. "I hope and pray that Christians are not deceived by the media's bias, but will give prayerful consideration as they go to the polls and vote."
The 64-year-old evangelist argued that our political system in this country is broken, and both parties are corrupt to an unbelievable level: "The media, along with many politicians from both parties, doesn't want any of this to change," he wrote. "My prayer is that you will continue to pray, and that you will vote. America needs the Christian voice at the ballot box. We can't be silent. The church needs to take a stand for God's truth and His righteousness."
Graham, who has not officially endorsed either candidate, went on to emphasize the importance of electing a president who will appoint Supreme Court judges who in turn will implement conservative policies regarding abortion and other issues.
"At the end of the day the most critical issue in this election is the Supreme Court," he said. "We've already seen the influence and impact this court has on the direction of our nation. You have to decide which presidential candidate you trust to appoint the next justices to serve lifetime terms and then vote for them. May God bless America again!"
This is not the first time Billy Graham's son has expressed frustration with the liberal media: Last week, he warned that Americans today are living through the "Great Deception" as Hollywood and the liberal media continue to celebrate and promote sin - the consequence of which is death.
"In the 1930's America had The Great Depression. Now we have The Great Deception," he wrote. "Hollywood and media moguls want you to think sin is okay, even something to celebrate. It's not. Sin has a price, and the price is death--spiritual death."
The evangelist warned that God does not take sin lightly: "God is the righteous judge and the Bible says He is 'standing at the door,'" he continued. "One day 'says the Lord, Every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess' (Romans 14:11)."
Earlier in October, when 11-year-old tapes emerged of Trump saying lewd things about women, Graham said Trump's remarks were indefensible but added that "the godless progressive agenda of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton likewise cannot be defended."
"Our nation's many sins have permeated our society, leading us to where we are today. But as Christians we can't back down from our responsibility to remain engaged in the politics of our nation," he continued.
