'Game of Thrones' Season 5 will add nine new faces to the cast, according to a recent announcement made by show representatives at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday. (Warning: Spoiler Alert)

The House of Martell

Season 5 will introduce viewers to the household of Oberyn Martell (Pedro Pascal), who dies horrifically in a duel with "The Mountain". The House of Martell is the ruling family in the Kingdom of Dorne. It is not clear how they will react to Oberyn's untimely demise. HBO plans to film the Dorne scenes in Spain.

Alexander Siddig will star as Doran Martell, ruling lord of Dorne and Oberyn's older brother. Siddig's film credits include The Fifth Estate, Da Vinci's Demons, and 24. HBO describes Doran as the "even-tempered and deliberate" of the two brothers. The kingdom awaits their lord's judgment after his brother is killed.

Newcomer Toby Sebastian will step in as Doran's son and heir, Trystane. According to showrunners, Doran betrothed Trystane to Myrcella Baratheon as part of an alliance brokered by Tywin Lannister.

Myrcella will be played by actress Nell Tiger Free, who will replace Aimee Richardson in the reoccurring role.

DeObia Oparei joins the cast as Areo Hotah, the loyal captain of Doran's palace guard. His weapon of choice is the longaxe. Previously, Oparei starred in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

Oberyn's Illegitimate Children

When Oberyn dies, he is survived by three bastard daughters. Like their spear-wielding father, the girls are well-versed in hand-to-hand combat. It will be interesting to see how the daughters react to their father's death, even though they technically are not members of the ruling clan.

Keisha Castle-Hughes will star as Obara Sand, the eldest of the daughters. Obara is the product of an affair between her father and a Dornish peasant girl. HBO says she is a fierce warrior.

Jessica Henwick will appear as Nymeria "Nym" Sand, the middle daughter who is proficient with the whip. The character Nym has the grace of her Eastern noblewoman mother, but with the fighting skills of her father. In real life, Henwick is better known for her role on UK television.

Rosabell Laurenti Sellers will play Tyene Sand, the youngest of the three illegitimate children. Despite her youth, Tyene is deadly with her twin daggers.

The Pious versus the Debauched

English thespian Jonathan Pryce will take on the role of the High Sparrow, a prominent member of an influential religious movement. Pryce was previously known as Governor Swann in Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean film-franchise.

Opposite of Pryce is Enzo Cilenti, who will be Yezzan the slave trader. Yezzan got his wealth from selling slaves, before Daenerys Tagaryen puts an end to the practice. Cilenti has already starred in another HBO show -- Rome.

It has not been confirmed exactly when 'Game of Thrones' Season Five will premiere, even though it is generally agreed that the show is returning to HBO in Spring 2015.
