Speculations are now running high as the much-anticipated return of Game of Thrones comes closer. With less than a month before the April 24 premiere date, fans will be closer to the answer of their biggest question at the end of season 5: is Jon Snow dead or alive?

Here's what is currently known about Game of Thrones Season 6 airdate, cast, spoilers and rumours on the web.

Over the past months, a number of sources have spotted actor Kit Harrington on set wearing his Stark armour. However, the actor stated that he just filmed a few scenes as a corpse in an interview at Time Out.

But the hopes of avid fans for the return of Jon Snow are still not over. They are still clinging to their theories for the upcoming season. One of these theories is that Melisandre will take Jon Snow's body to use her necromantic magic to bring him back to life. However, Carice van Houten, busted out this speculation in Empire Magazine. Though her words open up more possibilities. Houten said that Melisandre wants Snow to come back. "But Melisandre has never brought anyone back to life, why does it have to be me?" she said.

What does this mean? Melisandre will be one of the most anticipated characters that may help to answer fans' theories. And with Houten's statement, the possibilities of Jon Snow's return grow larger.

Furthermore, BettingExpert put together all the predictions of the upcoming season. One of these predictions is the return of Jon Snow. BettingExpert discussed it with the new season 6 trailer through the scene where a blurred and fuzzy Jon Snow appeared in a battle scene. With starting odds of 1.01, the fans prove that the chance of confirming the death of Jon Snow is small.

On the other hand, according to Entertainment Weekly, showrunner David Benioff has been telling that Season 6 goes beyond George R.R. Martin's source novels for the first time. But Benioff assures fans that they should not fear as the show becames different from the books at this point.

With that being said, the season 6 of Game of Thrones will surely become a hit once it is aired on April 24.

Game of Thrones is produced by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. It is an adaptation of George R.R. Martin's fantasy novel series "A Song of Ice and Fire".  The televised series is brought to the screen by HBO and has received good reviews from critics for its acting, story, complex characters, and production values.
