The Golden State Warriors will head to the FedEx forum in Tennessee to face off against the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 3 of the NBA Playoffs on Saturday. Warriors vs. Grizzlies Game 3 can be watched online through live stream below.
With a series that is tied at 1-1, Memphis hopes to break the tie on its own court. However, Stats LLC reported that the Grizzlies may have a difficult time replicating their winning formula against the Warriors, who have only lost back-to-back games once January.
"We're still the underdogs," Mike Conley of the Grizzlies said. "We understand that and that's the position we've been in for many years. So we know that we have our hands full and they can easily come in here and beat us."
According to Stats LLC, Conley helped lead the Grizzlies to a 97-90 road victory on Tuesday to even out Western Conference semifinals. He accomplished that feat by wearing a mask, which was there to protect facial fractures repaired by surgery recently.
"This is going to be huge for me just having some time to really concentrate on myself, on my body, eating habits and all things that you normally don't get with one day off between games," Conley said.
As for Golden State, Klay Thompson hoped to redeem himself after losing to the Grizzlies. Jimmy Durkin of San Jose Mercury News reported that Thompson didn't address the media shortly after the Game 2 loss.
"If you want to have a great comeback game, you've got to put it behind you," Thompson said. "You can't let it hang in the back of your head. Luckily in this league, we get a lot of chances to redeem ourselves, and we've got another opportunity Saturday to do that."
Thompson added that the Warriors were quite shocked in losing the previous game, despite having newly minted NBA MVP Stephen Curry on their team. According to Durkin, the Warriors lost only two games at Oracle Arena all season.
"We haven't lost like that in a while," Thompson said. "Individually, I would say I wasn't happy with the way I played. But I came in today and tried to get some good shots up and flush it out of the way because it's not the first one to two wins, it's the first one to four."
However, Warriors coach Steve Kerr expressed confidence that Thompson would go the distance in Saturday's game.
"Klay's fine," Kerr said. "He's a guy who can go nuts the next game after a night like that. His effort was good. We showed him a few things on tape, just like we showed everybody, but I'm not worried about him."
Tony Allen of the Grizzlies indicated to Stats LLC that taking on Golden State's All-Star backcourt will require a tremendous amount of effort.
"What we can do is to try and make things difficult," Allen said about the strategy against the Warriors. "We know they're going to come back firing, but we have to focus on playing hard for 48 minutes."
Game 3 of the NBA Playoffs between the Warriors and Grizzlies will air Saturday at 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT on ABC. Because it will air on a broadcast network, viewers can stream the Warriors vs. Grizzlies game online freely through WatchESPN.com or through the WatchESPN app.
