GTA V

With GTA 5 and GTA Online for PC release date finally arrived, Windows users will get the exclusive Rockstar Editor. This editing tool allows players to recapture gameplay in both Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online.

Rockstar Editor has two distinct recording modes - Manual and Action Replay. In Manual, players can switch the recording on and off with a designated button. For Action Replay, the game automatically records key moments in the gameplay.

The player can then add audio, special effects, and text to their videos. There is also the option to change camera angles for dramatic effect. Regarding aesthetics, players have a variety of tools. These include contrast, intensity, filers, saturation, lens, and vignette features. Players also have the option to add, combine, and shorten clips to create a short film.

In Director Mode, players are able to create their own scenes. Users will be able to change the time of day, weather, wanted status, pedestrian and vehicle density. In-game cheats are also available as well as the ability to jump to any location.

Besides the new video editor, owners of GTA V PC will also get an additional radio station. This iconic feature allows players to listen to soundtrack while driving in Grand Theft Auto's sandbox environment.

GTA V for PC Smashes the Charts

Within the first few days of its release, GTA 5 for Windows PC is currently number one in Steam's list of Top Sellers. Naturally, many gamers have been picking up GTA 5 PC in order to play the game in 4K resolution.

Based on the many replay videos released this week, the PC version has lived up to its promise of stunningly realistic graphics. However, all this eye-candy comes at a cost. To run GTA V at 4K without lag, one needs to invest in powerful video cards.

BGR's recent benchmark test using 2 GTX 980 cards resulted in an average of 56 frames per second. A second test using the 12GB Titan X average 40 fps. The retail value for only one GTX 980 is $1,200 while a Titan X video card costs $1,000. So, playing GTA V PC in 4K resolution is going to cost a considerable amount of money.

For casual gamers, downgrading graphics will be the way to go. Even so, the game still looks gorgeous even when playing in 1440p and 1080p.
