The ninth season of American reality talent show, The Voice, will premiere on September 21st, 2015 on NBC. The coaches for this season are: Adam Levine, Gwen Stefani, Pharrell Williams, and Blake Shelton.

The team advisors are: Robin Thicke for Team Adam, Taylor Swift for Team Gwen, Beyonce for Team Pharrell, and Dolly Parton for Team Blake. The universal knockout advisor for all teams is Cee-Lo Green

With the nearing premiere date of The Voice Season 9, returning coach Stefani could not hide her excitement even as pop diva Christina Aguilera has been confirmed to sit out this season but will rejoin in Season 10.

"I'm coming back and am so excited! I can't believe I get to return to The Voice. It's so inspiring to be around such incredible talent and music. I'm looking forward to working again with Adam, Blake and Pharrell. I love those guys," Stefani was quoted by Entertainment Weekly.

Stefani first appeared in The Voice during Season 7 with then newcomer, coach Pharrell Williams, and veterans Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. The co-founder and lead vocalist of the rock band No Doubt's team failed to make it to the final four in that season. Stefani's last contender, Taylor John Williams, was able to advance to the Top 5 but failed to advance to the Team Adam-dominated finale, reported The Vine Report.

Paul Telegdy, president of alternative and late night programming for NBC entertainment, commented on this year's season of The Voice, "With such an astounding group of coaches at the peak of their musical ingenuity and Carson returning as our host, we are thrilled for what season nine will bring. The expertise and camaraderie of this panel will provide an immeasurable experience for the artists and must-see entertainment for all who are watching,"

Meanwhile, a source told Us Weekly magazine that Aguilera would be returning in The Voice for its 10th season. "Christina is confirmed for Season 10 and has already signed her contract. She has been very vocal about not doing Season 9 to take a break to spend time with her family and her kids. She always planned to flip them so she had a season off and she is not being replaced by Gwen. She will definitely be back the next season."

The Voice host Carson Daly, who is also returning in the show allayed fears that the change in the coach line up means the show is having problems.

"I think we were scared by it at first because, you know, whenever there was a panel change at [American] Idol or another show I think the public thought that meant there was trouble in paradise," Daly said. "We always felt like we had A-list artists who need to tour. We actually liked fresh blood; we thought it changed up each season. We're on twice a year too, so it just changes things up a little bit, and look at what we've gotten! CeeLo [Green] is awesome, then we got Usher, now Pharrell."
