The long-awaited next installment in the Halo franchise, Halo 5: Guardians, will be officially available on Microsoft Xbox One on October 27, 2015. But fans of the popular series will need 1080p resolution to play the game.

The announcement of the release came from Halo 5: Guardians' official Twitter account, #HUNTtheTRUTH, which said, "The Master Chief returns October 27^th." The statement also comes with a new trailer of Halo 5.

However, the developer of Halo 5: Guardians, 343 Industries was reported to have developed the next installment to the successful franchise that requires players to have 1080p resolution to play. The multiplayer maps of Halo 5 have even-toned color saturation, according to the Halo Reddit community posted by HugeKill.

Hugekill said in his post, "It is incredibly important that Halo 5 runs at 1080p. Not just for Halo, but for the XO in general. I would happily take a few texture or particle effect reductions if the game maintained a 1080p and solid 60FPS. I know resolution isn't that important, however, it is mud to be slung at both halo and the Xbox One if it isn't at this resolution."

The poster also criticized the bright visual of Halo 5: Guardians and added that the characters were almost impossible to distinguish in the multiplayer mode. He added, "The opponents look like a red or blue generic 'spartan' until very close. It is hard to distinguish between character models as they don't really look as clear. Also the map looks like it is covered in Vaseline or cooking oil. Everything is incredibly saturated and bright. Blacks are too dark and colors are all too strong. Everything is also too shiny! The Midship remake was insane. It was like a neon glow-stick rave party."

Meanwhile, data miners and fans of Hunt the Signal have revealed that the alternate reality game for the first person shooter, Halo 5: Guardians, has provided some hits about the upcoming installment of the Halo franchise.

The said that Hunt the Signal provided hints that The Flood, the zombie stand-in of the Halo series, would return in Halo 5: Guardians, said the Daily Herald.

343 Industries launched Hunt the Signal, an alternate game competition, to further increase the excitement amongst hardcore fans that are waiting for the eventual release of Halo 5: Guardians.

The Hunt the Signal features a maze of puzzles which games have to work their way through. In the latest puzzle, the fans were presented with new images that triggered speculations the same will appear in the final Halo 5: Guardians version.

Microsoft said that the Halo franchise made an estimated $3.38 billion in total revenues for the company.
