This year's 2016 Honda Civic was one of the most anticipated cars of that year, and Honda has listened to the drivers of that model in order to create a 2017 model.  This is the latest news on the Honda Civic 2017 Release Date, Specs, Features and Price on LX, EX, EX-T, EX-L, and Touring Editions.

Car USA News reports that the interior will have an Android-based display audio body with a 7.0 inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, as well as a Garmin-developed navigation system.  This drops previous versions with the busy two-tiered dash.

As for changes on the exterior, the 2017 Civic will have 2 and 3 inches in length and with consecutively than the 2016 model.  There are also promises of more legroom and headroom for passengers, which was something of an issue for the 2016 version.

According to Limousine Release Date, the 2017 Honda Civic will be available in five trims that include Touring, EX-L, EX-T, EX, and LX.  There will also be Civic Type R and Si Coupe versions as well.  Each one of them has a list of changes and upgrades.

Let's start with the Touring.  It has a 10-speaker audio system, navigation system, LED headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels, voice controls, a four-way power passenger seat, as well as automatic wipers.  There is also the Honda Sensing Safety Package with its adaptive cruise control, emergency braking, forward collision alert, lane-departure mitigation and warning, as well as blind spot monitoring.

The EX-L model has a shift knob, leather-wrapped steering wheel, auto-dimming rearview camera, leather upholstery and auto-dimming rearview mirror.

The EX-T has automatic climate control (dual-zone), HD radio, Satellite Radio, remote start, 17-inch alloy wheels, a rear deck lid spoiler, and foglights.

The EX has an eight-speaker premium sound system, 60/40 split folding rear seatbacks, heated side mirrors, sunroof, 7-inch touchscreen display, smartphone app integration, Apple CarPlay connectivity rearview camera, LaneWatch functionality, 16-inch alloy wheels, Android Auto, rear center armrest, multifunction trip computer, keyless ignition and entry, SMS voice-to-text functionality, and dual USB ports.

The LX has an expanded-view driver side mirror, daytime LED running lights, automatic headlights, four-speaker sound system, tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, cruise control, full power accessories, 16-inch steel wheels, a 5-inch central display automatic climate control, LED taillights, USB port, Bluetooth audio and phone connectivity, driver height adjustment, and PANDORA connectivity.

Each of these trims have different engine specifications.  The LX and EX trims have a 2.0L four-cylinder engine good for 158 horsepower and 138 lbs/ft of torque.  The EX-T, EX-L, and Touring will have a 1.5 L turbocharged engine under the hoods with 174 hp and 162 lbs/ft of torque.

As for the release date and price, most point to June 2017 with a base MSRP starting at $18,640.  The price will be different depending on which trim you have, but we'll get a better idea of that as the release date draws near.
