During the past couple of games of the Indiana Pacers, third-stringer Glenn Robinson III has been taking advantage of the increased time he's getting on the court. But, given the way he's been playing, it is not yet clear what the Pacers plan to do when main small forwards Paul George and C.J. Miles return from their injuries.

For a couple of weeks now, George and Miller have been sitting on the sidelines recovering from their current conditions. With these two superstars out, a lot of fans expected to see a huge dip in the Pacers' overall performance.

However, for the past couple of games, the Pacers have been surviving and winning largely thanks to Robinson, the backup small forward who has taken up the slack left by George and Miles. During the Pacers' recent game against the Brooklyn Nets, Robinson recorded a career-high of 20 points.

Then, in Monday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers, he replicated the same feat by finishing the night with 17 points, according to 8.9 Seconds.

Robinson's increased productivity in the court is certainly a direct result of his increased playing time as the temporary starting small forward of the Indiana franchise. And, given the way he's playing, fans would certainly prefer seeing Robinson take on his larger role in every game, Hoops Habit reported.

However, since George and Miles didn't suffer season-ending injuries, they are expected to come back soon. But, with the return of the team's starter and backup small forward, the Pacers might have a hard time rotating the bench now that they've seen what Robinson can do.

For the Pacers, one way they can solve this is by reverting to their original strategy, which is sticking with George and Miles. However, now that they have emerged as a stronger team, this type of rotation could have a negative effect on the Pacers' scoring.

Instead, what the team will probably do is still stick with Robinson's increased playing time by widening the rotation involving him, George and Miles. The team will then most likely move Robinson to a more permanent role next season since he still has two years left in his contract with the team.
