Could the iOS 10 jailbreak be the last of its kind? It seems that the likes of Pangu and TaiG are not exactly breaking out the champagne, as the iOS team over at Apple seem to be able to fix security flaws and bugs with a demon-like speed through the release of new patches. Right now, it does not look like both Pangu and TaiG have an iOS 10 jailbreak available for the masses, so they might be better off working furiously on one.
In fact, there are whispers on the street that point to how iOS 10 jailbreak is going to be the last version that will be released by the group of hackers. To date, Apple has managed to fix whatever security flaws and bugs that are in their operating systems with a flurry of patch releases, leaving many hackers gasping for breath to catch up. It looks like this game of cat-and-mouse sees the cat winning -- which is more or less a reverse of the virus vs antivirus software industry.
We do know that Apple has recently introduced the iOS 10.0.2 update, which happens to be the latest version of the operating system, allowing it to fix all of the different security glitches that were found in the previous two versions of the mobile operating system. The thing is, iOS 10.0.2 is not perfect either, since we have covered news that the iOS 10.0.2 update has had its fair share of issues and problems upon installation
The iOS 10.0.2 update would require both groups of hackers to return to the drawing board, since it looks like all of their previous work has amounted to nothing for the iOS 10 release. In the past, Apple would introduce a new iOS version, and then the hackers will look for an exploit or security flaw which will provide them with entry for a jailbreak opportunity. Before those bugs were fixed by Apple, the new jailbroken version would have been released, but it looks like the tables have turned this time round.
Hackers are simply not given enough time these days to jailbreak the iOS platform prior to the release of a new security patch. Perhaps Apple’s software engineers have gotten so good at their job, that they have managed to work on an operating system that finally, has as little loopholes as possible. In fact, many in the industry are already sounding the death knell for both Pangu and TaiG, citing that the iOS 10 jailbreak version could jolly well be the final jailbroken version by both hacker groups.
The introduction of iOS 10.0.1 and iOS 10.0.2 by Apple has so far hindered the efforts of Pangu and TaiG in releasing a jailbreak version of iOS 10.
