The big event from Apple last Monday of "Let Us Loop You In" saw not only the announcement of a smaller iPhone with the iPhone SE, a smaller iPad with the 9.7-inch iPad Pro, some Apple Watch accessories, but the announcement of iOS 9.3.  Now that the new Apple operating system is out, there are many who are wondering when the jailbreak for it will be out as well.  This is the latest news on the iOS 9.1, 9.2, and 9.3 Jailbreak Release Date, and why we might not see it anytime soon. 

Jailbreaking, for those who are not in the know, is the way to remove Apple's restriction imposed by their closed iOS system, and so a user can enjoy access to the iOS file system and manager for downloading applications and other software not available on the App Store.  Those who wish to try this should know what they are doing. 

Now that the disclaimer is out of the way, let's talk about jailbreaking iOS 9.3.  Fortunately, iOS 9.1 is jailbreak-able, and you can learn how at a recent report that we posted here.  Right now, it is pretty doubtful that a jailbreaking for iOS 9.2 or 9.2.1 will be arriving anytime soon.  Please note that there are a lot of fake jailbreaking iOS 9.2 floating around on the Internet, so do not fall for them. 

Forbes notes three reasons why it might take a while before jailbreaking iOS 9.3 will arrive.  The first is because iOS 9.3 is "widely regarded as the biggest shakeup to iOS since iOS 9 itself launched".  Yes, Apple does not want users to be jailbreaking their iDevices, so it makes sense that the company is doing more to block them from this. 

Another reason for the lack of jailbreaking for iOS 9.3 is that the teams could just skip it and wait for iOS 10 to come around.  That could be unlikely as there is a lot of competition between jailbreaking teams, and if one wants to look superior, it would be obvious for them to just release the jailbreaking tools for iOS 9.3. In fact, there are numerous reports that a hacker named Luca Tedesco has already jailbroken a beta version of iOS 9.3, but will not share this method with the public, for whatever reason. 

Then there is the third and final reason why iOS 9.3 has not been jailbroken yet, and it is bad news for those that want to jailbreak.  The issue is that there might not be a tool to jailbreak iOS 9.3.  That does put some serious finality on the issue, and at this point, one has to wonder if Apple will just win the jailbreaking war just like that.  Considering that iOS 9.3 will probably have a few bugs on it, this will prompt the release of another version, an iOS 9.3.1, which will also be difficult to crack. 

So yes, the wait for the jailbreak for iOS 9.3 could be long, but in the past, jailbreakings have come out of nowhere, like it did with iOS 9.0.  The only thing to do is wait and see.
