The iPad Air 2 became available in October 2014, but in October 2015, no iPad Air 3 came out. Could that be because Apple planned to release it this March? Latest rumors said the Cupertino-based tech giant will hold a special event next month. Several tech insiders claimed the company might release the much-anticipated iPad Air 3 on that event.

By looking at the release history of Apple's iPad gadgets, it suggests the iPad 3 should have come October last year, but it did not. Instead, the company unveiled the iPad mini 4.  Some tech experts said the Apple intentionally delayed the release of Air 3 because they don't want to burden consumers with too many devices available in the market.

Furthermore, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo stated that iPad Air 3 might hit the tech market in the first half of 2016.

As for the price of next-generation iPad Air, PC Advisor estimated it could cost around the current price of the iPad Air 2.  So that's a starting price range of about  £399 for the 16GB model, and it could cost up to £659 for the WiFi + Cellular option with 128GB  capacity.

For its display features, the device is said to have a 9.7-inch display, coupled with Retina display that has ultra-clear 4K screen resolution.  

Under the hood, Apple fans expect the company will continue its tradition of launching a new, more powerful chip for each model of iPad so that a ultra-fast A9X chip processor could land on Air 3.It is interesting to note that the iPad Air 2's processor is already12  times faster than the first generation of iPad

It is also reported the iPad Air 3's camera will boast an 8-megapixel rear-snapper and a 2.1-megapixel front-snapper.

In a review from CNET, it says the tablet sports better cameras, a more vivid Retina display, slightly slimmed-down design, and the ability to run split-screen apps in iOS 9.
