The new ipad mini 4 is packing with significant upgrade.

There are varying speculations about Apple's latest iPad Mini 4, with one report saying the new tablet will be an improved version of its predecessor, while another report is claiming that the iPad Mini 4 will be very similar to the iPad Mini 3 without so much improvement.

According to MacWorld will feature a 7.9-inch monitor display in that will be unveiled in October 2015 and a scheduled release date two weeks later. It added that the new tablet will sport the latest A9 chip set that will allow a split-screen or the Split View feature, like the iPad Air 2. Other features include a 2GB Ram with 802.11ac WiFi for connectivity.

The new iPad Mini 4 tablet is expected to be lighter and thinner than the iPad Mini 3 as it will have some of the current features of the iPad Air 2, including the 8-megapixel iSight camera and even copy its design.

However, a separate report by Tech Times said that the iPad Mini 4 will not have much improvement from its iPad Mini 3 predecessor.

It said that when the iPad Mini 4 rolls out, it will not have significant specification upgrade and said the new device is a scaled-down version of the criticized MacBook Air. According to the report, the iPad Mini 4 will be equipped with an A8X processor, like the chip set inside the iPad Air 2.

MacWorld also cited a source, Japanese speaking Macotakara, who claimed that Apple would launch the iPad Mini 4 alongside the iPad Air 3 and the speculated iPad Pro. In terms of design, the report said the iPad Air 3 will have the same features as the iPad Air 2 although it will have the newest A9 processor.

iPad Air 3 Release Date

As stated, the iPad Air 3 is also rumored to be officially unveiled in October this year and will be a little slimmer than the 6.1mm thickness of the iPad Air 2. However, Latino Post  said the next generation device will have the same thickness as its predecessor to maintain its strength and durability. The iPad Air 3 will most likely sport a 9.7 inch display monitor and comes in three colors: Silver, space grey and gold.

Another report by MacWorld has indicated that the launch of the iPad Air 3 might be pushed back to 2016.

However, the iPad Air 3 is expected to receive a boost in its screen resolution of up to 401ppi (pixels per inch) and a rear-facing (iSight) camera, from 5Mp to 8Mp. Apple has also upgraded its camera features with a burst mode, panoramas that can give up to 43Mp.

Apple has also maintained the front-facing (FaceTime HD) camera for the new iPad Air 3 but upgraded the sensor and made the pixels bigger for a more efficient use of battery and preserving its life.

The iPad Air 3 will likely be priced the same as the iPad Air 2 when it was introduced. The iPad Air was sold for $615 for the 16GB model in Wi-Fi only, increase to $738 for 64GB Wi-Fi  and $861 for 128GB Wi-Fi.
