When it comes to jailbreaking an Apple device, everyone is wondering when the jailbreak for iOS 9 is coming. Jailbreaking, it is a way of removing the restrictions of iOS (the closed source operating system on Apple devices) on their mobiles such as the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. Considering that the current version of iOS (as of this writing) is yet to be broken, there are a lot of sources saying that iOS 9 has already been "jailbroken".
According to Gotta Be Mobile, there was an iOS 8.3 jailbreak released with an iOS 8.4 jailbreak released a few weeks later. This iOS 8.4 jailbreak was released just hours after the iOS 8.4 update, which has to be some new kind of record when it comes to jailbreaks. Then iOS 8.4.1 was released, which was able to patch up the iOS 8 jailbreak "for good", as it seems like the latest version of iOS is yet to be broken. This leads to the speculation about the next version of Apple's operating system that was just recently announced, iOS 9.
Should you purchase the iPhone 6S when it becomes available on September 25th, it will come with iOS 9 out of the box. It isn't really possible to downgrade to anything but 8.4.1, which is also unbreakable.
So the biggest issue is when the jailbreak will come for iOS 9, but it seems to have been broken already. A separate article from Gotta Be Mobile demonstrates that a developer known as iH8sn0w has discovered an iOS 9 jailbreak, and even has a video out to prove it. Generally it is both TaiG and Pangu who have figured out how to crack iOS versions of the past, but there isn't really any word of when this jailbreak of iOS 9 will be made available.
For those that are interested in iOS 9 jailbreaking, it is possible to go to the Pangu website and find instructions on how to use a partial jailbreak created by the SemiJB team. This is also known as iOS 9 semi jailbreak, and it is the only option to jailbreak iOS 9 at this time. There is a video showing how the Apple user can accomplish this. There are also instructions of it located on the iOS 9 Cydia site.
Another issue is that Apple does what it can to stay one step ahead of the jailbreakers. So by the time the jailbreak for iOS 9.0 occurs, there could be another update. There is a rumor that iOS 9.1 will be released at the same time as the iPad Pro, which will be in November. It is predicted that iOS 9.1 will patch up the jailbreak for iOS 9.0.
For those that want to jailbreak their phone, do not upgrade to iOS 8.4.1 or iOS9 now. However, it's pretty clear that it won't be long before the iOS 9 jailbreak becomes readily available and have a proven track record of success in the near future.
