With only a few days remaining in the NBA off season, proud Christian professional basketball player Jeremy Lin is praying for a smooth transition as he moved to his new team, the Charlotte Hornets for the 2015-2016 NBA season.

In a prayer request sponsored by the Jeremy Lin Foundation, Jeremy of the Linsanity fame, said, "As the offseason is winding down, here are some prayer requests going into next season: Prayer for a smooth transition as I move to Charlotte and get settled in there. Also that I would really connect with my teammates and coaches quickly."

Jeremy also offered prayers to his younger brother Joseph, who is embarking on his professional basketball career. Linsanity also prays that Joseph to always seeks God wholeheartedly and does not allow success or failure to come between him and God.

Late last month, Taiwanese basketball team, Fubon Braves signed Joseph for the Super Basketball League, reported the China Post. Fubon Braves general manager Chris Tsai made the announcement and said Joseph could boost the team's backcourt and added they have been closely watching the player and watching his performance and growth for years.

 "Our coaching staff think Lin is a smart player who learns things very quickly. He also has great shooting touch and a positive attitude - all of these are perfect traits for a point guard," Tsai commented.

At the same time, Lin is asking that his personal growth with the Lord also flourishes. "I'm hoping that I can really strengthen my prayer life and take it to another level. Prayer is an act of submission and humility, and I want to have random prayers throughout the day be more instinctual.

"Praise for an awesome offseason of training. I feel like I got a lot accomplished and that I enjoyed my training this offseason more than ever before. I tried to appreciate each day, rest in Christ and enjoy the daily process versus obsessing with whether I was making the progress I wanted to or not."

Lin also called on his prayer support group to pray for each other too.

In August, Lin inked a two-year, $4 million deal with the Hornets after a disastrous one-year stint with the Los Angeles Lakers. The 27-year-old Jeremy Lin and former Harvard University standout is looking at fresh opportunity with the Hornets and is being groomed to be the team's starting point guard to help star player Kemba Walker in both scoring and facilitating.

The Hornets is still confident there is still some spark left with the Linsanity rage even if Lin has shown a steady decline the past three NBA season. Still Lin is contributing above average statistics with an average of 15 points and five assists per game.

Lin has a 44 percent shooting percentage from the field and 34 percent from the three-point area. Coupled with his playmaking skills, Linsanity could be a big boost for Charlotte, team insiders said.
