Charlotte Hornets star Jeremy Lin is disappointed with Chris Rock's stereotyping on Asians during an onstage skit at Sunday's Oscars 2016. The basketball star vented his frustration to Twitter, saying he is "tired of it being 'cool' and 'OK' to bash Asians."

With more than 1.51 million Twitter followers, Lin also called out for change on Asian stereotypes. He added that Asian men and women are so "much more broad than that" to contain in a stereotyped perception.

The politics of race clearly dominated the 88th Academy Awards. Oscars host Chris Rock devoted most of his monologues on Hollywood's race problem. Also, presenters such as Sacha Baron Cohen made a point on diversity issue.

At Sunday night's 2016 Oscars, Chris Rock welcomed three Asian children dressed in tuxedos as PricewaterhouseCoopers accountants. He joked that the company send their most "dedicated" and "hard-working representatives."

Lin quickly reacted on the joke, saying that he is tired of being "Ok" to slam Asians. The Charlotte Hornets guard was born in California. His parents migrated to the United States from Taiwan during the 1970s.

NY Daily News reported that Lin admitted he has no issues with Rock. He also commended the actor's hosting in Oscars 2016 and described him as a "funny guy."  The basketball star cleared that his tweet is a way to "stand up" for Asians.

Lin hopes that Hollywood will have diversity in the portrayal of Asians and show that they are different from what other people think they are.

Mee Moua, president and executive director of the Washington-based Asian Americans Advancing Justice, commented that the 88th Academy Awards is a setback to the diversity issue, according to ESPN.

Moua stressed that people have to work together to take down the systems that devalue the experiences of minority groups. He added by doing that, "we can see the tales of the diversity that have shaped our nation reflected accurately."

As an Asian-American player, some basketball players made fun on Jeremy Lin. In his five-year career in the NBA, he received racial slurs like "'Go back to China', 'you're a Chinese import' or 'can you see the scoreboard with your eyes?'"

Jeremy Lin's underdog story and the way he carried himself in the league make basketball fans happy. With his trust in the Lord, he is becoming one of the top players in NBA.
