The 19 Kids and Counting family had been taken off the air earlier this year due to the indiscretions committed by the first son of Jim Bob Duggar and wife Michelle Duggar, the controversial Josh Duggar, during his teenage years. Following years of fame and popularity across all regions in the United States and even in the international community due to the manner by which the Duggar family adhere to their Christian beliefs and values, the clan of Jessa Duggar Seewald and Jill Duggar Dillard practically crashed and burned as the public became aware of the secrets the brood kept hidden throughout the years. Hence, TV network TLC had been forced to cancel the broadcast of 19 Kids and Counting. In addition, more than 180 companies reportedly pulled out from the TV series that featured Josh Duggar and his siblings.

Months since the cancellation, however, it looks like the 19 Kids and Counting crew are gunning for a return to the small screen. The creators of the once hit reality TV show are aiming to put the younger generation of Duggars into the spotlight. Hence, fans and followers of the 19 Kids and Counting brood could expect Jessa Duggar Seewald with hubby Ben Seewald as well as Jill Duggar Dillard, husband Derrick Dillard and son Isaac Duggar Dillard to be the main subjects of the upcoming series.

"We appreciate all the prayers for our family," shared the Duggar family, referring to their supporters who stood by the 19 Kids and Counting brood despite the countless news stories bashing them, according to People Magazine. The 19 Kids and Counting family went on to share, "God has drawn us closer to Him and to each other this summer. We are grateful that the new TLC specials set to air this fall will be sharing special moments with Jill, Derick and Israel on the foreign mission field and following Ben and Jessa as they prepare for the arrival of their first baby!"

While the upcoming TLC special will no longer feature the entire 19 Kids and Counting family, particularly Josh Duggar, it looks like Jill Duggar Dillard and sister Jessa Duggar Seewald won't be able to stop parents Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar from dropping by and appearing in the show every now and then.

According to Star Pulse, the elder Duggars might see the new show as an avenue to stage a comeback to the small screen - a speculation that actually contradicts earlier reports regarding the stand of Jim Bob Duggar on the spinoff series. Earlier this year, reports revealed that Jim Bob Duggar had been adamant on his refusal to support a TV show that will solely focus on Jessa Duggar Seewald and Jill Duggar Dillard. Instead, the 19 Kids and Counting patriarch wanted the network to simply air the show featuring the entire Duggar clan once again. At the moment, it remains to be seen whether or not Jim Bod Duggar and Michelle Duggar will become staples in the upcoming reality series.
