Recently, Jill Duggar's husband Derick Dillard was criticized for poking fun at the very serious issue of zika virus. However, a new report suggested that the reality star's photo was misinterpreted. The reality star was not poking fun at the issue; instead, he was showing that he was vey concerned on what can happen to Jill while they are in Southern America...and pregnant.

According to Enstarz, Dillard holding up a mosquito repellent in a picture posted on his Instagram account might be a strong sign that Jill is indeed pregnant, like what many rumors are saying. Apparently, Dillard will not find the need to buy the repellant if his wife is not pregnant with their second baby. Central and South American governments have advised against getting pregnant within the next two years because the zika virus is especially harmful to infants. While the couple has not specifically disclosed where they are carrying out their missionary work, it is believed that they are in El Salvador. The virus is associated with microcephaly, a condition wherein the baby is born with abnormally-sized brains and other birth defects.

Dillard's caption of his controversial photo is also very telling because it used the hasthtag "be prepared." "I knew I could count on Walmart to have what I need to combat that Zika Virus! #beprepared #zika," he wrote.

Like previously reported, his attempt at humor or to keep things light on his Instragam while residing in a country where the zika virus alert is high was not appreciated. Followers think that if he can joke about the virus, then he may not know the true ramifications of being  infected by the virus. Some followers commented that he was being dense. "Recently the research has shown Zika virus is actually sexually transmitted. So Derrick buying off for himself is a good thing," one comment read. "You know that the virus can be transmitted from an infected man TO a woman by sexual intercourse right???" Another said.

According to Hollywood Gossip, even if the rumors that Jill is currently pregnant turn out to be false, it's very unlikely that the Dillards will go another two years without having a baby. The couple can be expected to be not using contraception, which is against their strong faith.

Jill and Derick however, continue to ignore these pregnancy rumors hounding them. With "Jill & Jessa: Counting On" given a full new season, answers might be found there when it starts to air on March 15.
