It is not only the marriage of Josh and Anna Duggar that is currently on the rocks after the controversies surrounding Josh emerged last year. Constant fights over Josh are allegedly starting to hurt and destroy the marriage Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar as well.

In Touch magazine reported (via Hollywood Life) that Josh's parents' marriage is not holding up well with the controversies surrounding Josh, who is currently in rehab for porn addiction. According to the report, the marriage is under a lot of strain because a court case against Josh serves as a threat to make the family reveal their darkest secrets.

Josh is currently in the middle of a lawsuit from a porn star who accused him of abusing and assaulting her during their paid sex sessions. The court, in doing its job of getting to the bottom of this, is digging up all the information on the family, asking for all sorts of records. Unfortunately, the records being sought are not only those from the therapists' but also from the Duggar family. An insider source shared that the lawsuit is turning out not to be a nightmare for Josh only, but also for the Jim Bob and Michelle.

Allegedly, the court's prodding and scrutinizing here and there led to the discovery of how soft Michelle was when it comes to her son, no matter if he is already doing something wrong. The source claimed that Michelle was so protective of her son that she would willingly defy Jim Bob just to prevent him from punishing Josh. Michelle is not known for being a defiant wife so this is surprising.

The insider stated that when Jim Bob was bent on punishing Josh, "Michelle thought it was so harsh, she was willing to defy her husband and take Josh away from the area. She spoke at length with family and friends and said she was willing to DEFY Jim Bob if it meant protecting her son. It caused a great deal of friction between Jim Bob and Michelle and could well have destroyed their marriage if Michelle had taken Josh away."

A lot of these are mainly speculations since none from the Duggar family provided confirmation. Even the court documents being sought are unclear. There is also a report that claims the nightmare will be over soon since Josh already allegedly agreed to a settlement conference with the porn star suing him, Danica Dillon. Radar Online reported that their pre-trial conference did not go well so a settlement conference now seems logical to Josh, who once said he would never settle with the stripper. The Duggar family is allegedly all set for a settlement just to reduce the damage to their reputation. After "19 Kids and Counting" was cancelled, money has become tight as well.
