Popular podcaster Joe Rogan is making headlines after expressing doubts about the Big Bang theory—saying he finds the story of Jesus’ resurrection more believable than the scientific explanation for the origin of the universe.

In a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan said, “You're telling me everything came out of something smaller than a pinhead? I’d rather believe that Jesus rose from the dead.”

While Rogan has long been known for his skepticism toward organized religion, he’s become more open in recent years to conversations about faith, spirituality, and the afterlife. He revealed that the death of a close family member led him to seriously consider the possibility of the soul and the existence of something beyond this life.

“What’s happening in the world today—it’s chaos,” Rogan said during the episode. “We need Jesus.”

His comment wasn’t just a casual jab at science—it reflects a deeper unease with what he sees as the spiritual vacuum in modern culture. Rogan has frequently criticized society’s moral decline and the tendency of intellectuals to dismiss religion outright. He has also acknowledged the positive role religion can play in shaping ethical frameworks and offering purpose.

Rogan’s growing interest in spiritual matters doesn’t necessarily indicate a full conversion, but it does show a shift in tone—one that resonates with many listeners who find themselves questioning whether science alone can answer life’s biggest questions.

In a world increasingly uncertain about what to believe, Rogan’s turn toward Jesus may reflect a broader hunger for meaning—and for a story that speaks not just to the mind, but to the soul.
