Josh and Anna Duggar have four children in tow, and they are now expecting their fifth after the latest pregnancy announcement. However, the silence from the rest of the Duggar siblings, who are normally very excited over a new addition to the Duggar clan (at least from what we have seen in the past via their online interactions) have been deafening, making us wonder whether there is more than meets the eye with the latest pregnancy. In fact, the Duggar clan has so many children, that it might look as though they plan their pregnancies in such a way that it is way too easy for the press to continue following them for the latest family news and updates.
The latest pregnancy announcement that involves Josh and Anna Duggar happens to point in the direction of yet another boy, who will be their fifth child. An announcement was made on the family website that reads, "For nearly the last two years, we have quietly worked to save our marriage, focus on our children, and rebuild our lives together as a family. Doing so is never easy after a breach of trust. We’ve learned that a life of faith and rebuilding a life together is simply done one day at a time. As we continue our journey as a family and rebuild our lives, we are delighted to share with you that we are expecting a new baby boy later this year. Beauty comes from ashes and we cannot wait to see and kiss the face of this sweet new boy!"
Well, Josh and Anna Duggar did have a rough time for close to a couple of years, after Josh stepped up to the plate and admitted that he was involved in child molestation as well as cheating on Anna Duggar back in 2015. Since then, the two of them have remained out of the spotlight, but lying low did not detract any attention from them, either. With all that has happened, most people would have expected Anna Duggar to file for a divorce, rather than let Josh touch her once again. In fact, Anna has very good grounds to go separate ways from her husband, but the two of them decided to remain in the marriage and attempt to save it.
Many people are unhappy with this, and as it does not make too much sense at all. Then again, it is incidents like this that lets us ponder over the power of forgiveness. Grace and mercy that was exhibited on the cross of Jesus Christ is shown in this marriage, just like how the prophet Hosea was asked by the LORD to marry the adulterous Gomer and even have children with her. God’s ways are certainly higher than man’s ways, and going against the tide of popular opinion is never an easy task.
Needless to say, the online backlash that the two received have been swift, and tough. These are words that will definitely hurt the two of them if they were to read it, but if they can exhibit the power of forgiveness in their marriage, surely this is a small storm in comparison. After all, they have made a choice to live their lives in accordance to forgiveness, so who are we to judge them or know any better? Are outsiders in a position to condemn?
