Josh and Anna Duggar Update: Jim Bob Offers Anna A New 3,800-Square Foot House, She Declines

Anna Duggar has rejected the new home offered by his father-in-law in exchange of not leaving husband Josh. Josh Duggar

The controversial 27 years old TV personality, Josh Duggar of 19 Kids and Counting has been in a faith-based rehabilitation center for the treatment of his sexual addiction for three months now.

Josh is embroiled in a series of controversies including revelations he molested five underage girls when he was still a teenager, including two of his sisters. And as if that was not enough, his name surfaced as one of the paid subscribers to infidelity website Ashley Madison when a list of the site's users was hacked and released publicly.

The nail in the coffin came when a pornstar Danica Dillon came out publicly and revealed Josh was one of her customers and paid her for sex at least on two occasions. Josh's infidelity was initially met by his wife Anna Keller-Duggar with forgiveness and understanding.

And while sisters, Jessa and Jill has forgiven Josh and even asked the public for understanding for the wrongs he had done, Anna is still disgusted, Vine Report said.

Intense pressure from Anna's family, especially her brother, has finally cracked the marriage and Anna left the Duggar's home and has even threatened to file a divorce.

These controversies hounding Josh are also putting serious strains on his seven-year marriage with Anna. Since his admission to the rehab, Anna was having a rough time coping up as she struggled to raise the family and deal with the press and outside pressure.

The mother of four children, Mackynzie Renée (born 2009), Michael James (born 2011), Marcus Anthony (born 2013), and Meredith Grace (born 2015), admits to feeling lonely and sometimes breaks down in tears as she contemplates her future and the future of her family. She even lost weight due to stress caused by her husband. She said she doesn't feel that Josh is still her husband. She cannot feel his presence anymore, a report by Inquisitr said.

But to save their marriage, Josh's father, Jim Bob came to the rescue. According to In Touch Weekly, Jim Bob offered Anna a new 3,800 square foot house worth $345,000 if she stays with Josh. The new house has four bedrooms, and three bathrooms.

Hollywood Life said Jim Bob bought the house on fear Anna will leave Josh and her four children. The report added that Anna has refused the offer as she doesn't want Jim Bob to influence her decision whether to push with divorcing Josh or keeping her family intact.

"If Anna doesn't accept the house and do what she can to save her marriage, things are going to get very uncomfortable," the insider tells HollywoodLife.com. "This is more than just about saving their marriage, in Jim Bob's eyes, he's fighting to save the entire family. If Anna leaves Josh, it will be the nail in his coffin for Josh and the rest of the family. Getting Anna back in line and on board is priority one right now. If this house doesn't work, if bribes won't work, then Jim Bob will come up with a plan B. He's not the kind of guy that just gives up."

A source said that Anna feels her in-laws made the gesture not out of concern for the reality of the situation but to save the family's public image. However, the source said Anna is still open to reconciliation and wants a real healing and not merely cleaning up the family's dirty laundries.
