Jurassic World
I wonder what Chris Pratt is looking at?

Jurassic World will hit American theaters this Friday, June 12, 2015. The film promises to be a hit for Universal Studio's biggest franchises, and here's some an early Jurassic World Review, as well as news about the Trailer and Cast.

According to Chris Stuckmann, a respected Internet Critic who was given a chance to preview the film early, he gave it a B. Considering that Chris Stuckmann is admittedly a huge Jurassic Park fan, that is something, and his B rating means that the film is just below an A. The reviewer states that the film is "good" but not "great".

Stuckmann's review seems to echo concerns of a lot of critics, as Jurassic World generated a 70 percent (to this writing) on Rotten Tomatoes and a current score of 8.1 on its imdb page. A recent review on CNET stated that Jurassic World was "dumb dino-fun, but not such a clever girl". In short, reviews are calling it not as intelligent as the first 1993 Jurassic Park Steven Spielberg film, but viewers will probably have a good time.

When the official trailer for Jurassic World was released last Thanksgiving, and it created quite a stir. It showed that Jurassic Park (now rebranded to Jurassic World) has been up and running for over a decade, in spite of all the clear problems in the first three films. They still have the giant doors to bring in the visitors on this dinosaur island, and business seems to be booming at a park that resembles Universal's own real-life theme park.

Of course, was it not Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) who told John Hammond (Richard Attenborough) that "the kind of control he was attempting was impossible" back in 1993? Yes, and looks can be deceiving. Fashion N Style reports that visitors to the park are getting bored, and so the scientists are trying to create a new breed of dinosaur. According to Franchise Herald, Colin Trevorrow, the director of Jurassic World, has stated that "there will be one new dinosaur" created by the park's geneticists. The gaps in her sequence were filled with DNA from other species, much like the genome in the first film was completed with frog DNA. This creation exists to fulfill a corporate mandate-they want something bigger, louder, with more teeth. And that's what they get." From the trailer, it appears that this new dinosaur will stir up a lot of trouble in the tourist trap.

The official imdb cast list shows that there is no sign of any of the main cast from the original 1993 film except for B.D. Wong as Dr. Henry Wu. In the place of the main cast is Chris Pratt, the funny side character actor from Parks and Recreation who has been booted into megastar status with roles in The Lego Movie and Guardians of the Galaxy. In place of the late Richard Attenborough is Bryce Dallas Howard, who is essentially being the businessman/woman who dreams of dinosaur profits while Pratt plays the Sam Neill/Jeff Goldblum role of warning him not to mess with Mother Nature. Also starring is Vincent D'Onofrio, Nick Robinson, and Ty Simpkins.
