Just Cause 3
The action begins on December 1st, 2015.

A recent trailer for Just Cause 3, developed by Avalanche Studios and published by Square Enix, has revealed an action-packed thrill ride. The trailer is simply gameplay, and it is simply awesome action that gamers crave. The game promises to be a hit in comparison with GTA 5 when it has its release date in Q4 2015 for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Gotta Be Mobile calls the recent trailer for Just Cause 3 "better than most films". The trailer is full of action and explosions with a hero crashing jets, ramming buses into giant statues, and other very impressive feats that would be pretty impressive in any film.

What makes the trailer for Just Cause 3 impressive is it doesn't follow the method of most gaming advertisements. Most trailers for video games are often cutscenes, the sections that players have to watch in between playing. However, the Just Cause 3 trailer has no scripted or staged cutscenes at all, as everything on the trailer is actual gameplay, shot at different camera angles. Just Cause has tweeted: "No cut scenes, no scripts, no staging. Just gameplay and great camera angles."

Just Cause 3 is about a hero named Rico Rodriguez who is trying to stop a dictator name General Di Ravello, who rules a fictional Mediterranean island known as Medici. The game has an open world of about 400 square miles, which is equal to the game's predecessor. What makes this game different is the vertical feature, as Rico can use a new wingsuit to take to the air on certain occasions, which makes the open world even more open. In addition to the wingsuit, Rico can use another new feature of "infinite C4". Instead of paying for this explosive all the time like in Just Cause 2, Rico can apparently explode things at will.

It is very clear that the inspiration for this game comes from films of Michael Bay, director of high-octane action films like The Rock, Armageddon, and the Transformers as well as the Bad Boys movie series. His films are full of explosions, stereotypes, and heroes who fight for freedom in a world full of adrenaline-packed action. It looks like Rico's attempt to topple General Di Ravello is going to be very fun for gamers. Hopefully, gamers will appreciate the action of Just Cause 3, as Michael Bay's films are starting to gain a bad reputation amongst movie-goers.

Just Cause 3 looks like it could be a hit, as open world games really bring a lot of buyers. Comparisons can be made to Grand Theft Auto 5, which was the biggest launch for any game ever two years ago on November 2013. It would be interesting to see if Just Cause 3, with all of its hype, could beat or even compare to that record.

Just Cause 3 will have a holiday release date, and the trailer doesn't have any more specific release date than that. It will only be for PC, Sony PS4, and Xbox One, so you are out of luck if you have an Xbox 360 or PS3.
