With Kate Middleton having her baby in the month of April, and there is much speculation on the hospital, the due date, as well as the gender.
According to Cosmopolitan, the royal couple has announced the actual baby due date, or at least the potential due date of April 25th. Of course, anyone who has ever had a child knows that unless you are planning to induce, it is extremely difficult to nail down the date of a baby's birth.
The Huffington Post reported last December that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge confirmed that their second baby is due in April, and this was the first time they have offered a month for the royal birth.
Kate intends to give birth at St. Mary's Hospital again, where she gave birth to George. Of course the big question is whether she is having a boy or girl. It seems like all signs seem to point to Kate having a girl. The Daily Mail says that this is what Kate is telling her friends, and it is because she is "addicted to eating sweets". There is a superstition that if a pregnant woman craves biscuits and chocolates, then she is going to have a daughter. There are even reports that Middleton and William are addicted to the Humble Pie bakery near their home in Amner Hall and regularly make a 40-minute drive to buy sweets and cakes. There were also a lot of reports of Kate Middleton's morning sickness, but this has apparently not a problem with the sweets issue, according to The Inquisitr.
We have previously reported that the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby girl, but Prince William and Kate Middleton have no idea what the sex of the baby is, according to E! News. Another source form OK magazine seems to show that Kate and William absolutely know what the gender of the baby is, and it will be a girl.
A palace insider even admits that Kate and William found out during the 21-week scan. This source stated that the baby could be named Diana, but only because they "felt they needed to go with something very traditional, like Elizabeth or Mary, or something that had a lot of meaning to them." Of course, the name of Diana is Prince William's late mother's name. According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, Queen Elizabeth does not want to allow that name. After all, Prince Charles divorced Diana after the affair with Camilla Parker-Bowles, which caused a lot of bad press for the royal family in the nineties.
It would appear that OK! Magazine is running with Kate and Will's baby being a girl, and they have exclusive photos of the couple's baby girl's nursery, and an inside story about the exciting moment when William told Queen Elizabeth that the second child was a girl. They even brag about having exclusive photos of the couple's ultrasound, right from the palace.
E Online has stated that the princess told a 17-year-old girl last month at the opening of the Kensington Leisure Center that she could feel the baby kicking. When Middleton was about six months into her pregnancy, the International Business Times states that her baby bump is rather small. The explanation, according to Teri Benn, who specializes in Obstetrics and Gynecology at FemCare OB-GYN, has stated that who Kate dresses could lead to appearance of the baby bump being small. Also, Middleton is somewhat tall, which means there is space in her pelvis to grow upwards.
It should be interesting to see if the Kate Middleton baby does meet its expected delivery date, and if the baby truly is a girl.
