This New Year's Eve, a lot of places are having a big celebration, and Las Vegas is, of course, no exception.  This is the information about how to see the Las Vegas New Year's Eve Fireworks, Countdown Live Stream Free, TV Schedule, Start Time, Tips and Best Viewing Spots.

According to the Review-Journal, Las Vegas is expecting more than 300,000 visitors for the long holiday weekend.  If you plan on being one of these visitors, then something that should be known is that revelers should be aware of some closures.  For example, the Fremont Street Experience in Downtown Las Vegas has an area under a canopy that will be closed to the public at 4 PM to prepare for the festivities, but will reopen at 6 PM.

Also, some of the surrounding areas will be closed to vehicles starting at 5 PM, when the Interstate 15 flyover ramps to eastbound Tropicana Avenue, Flamingo Road, and Spring Mountain Road close.  At 5:45 PM, all other streets, roads, and alleys leading westbound onto Las Vegas Boulevard, from Koval Lane, between Sahara Avenue and Mandalay Bay Road, begin closing with all barricades in place by 6 PM.  Las Vegas police then start clearing the boulevard of all remaining cars, and pedestrians by then.

The fireworks display then happens at midnight, and the pyrotechnics occur at not just one place, but several.  They launch from the rooftops of seven resorts on the Strip including the MGM Grand, Aria, Planet Hollywood, Caesar's Palace, Treasure Island, the Venetian, and the Stratosphere.

For those that want the best views should find some spot high up or an area away from the boulevard.  Some people might find that parking at the airport could be one great place, but anywhere in the valley with any altitude and line of sight should work.  The streets will then be opened hours later, so plan accordingly.  There a lot of parties and shows going on at that time, and a full list can be found at New Years Eve Live

Unfortunately, like the city of Paris, France, New Year's Eve on Las Vegas has also been overshadowed by a recent tragedy.  The last event of the driver on Las Vegas Boulevard, who intentionally plowed into pedestrians on a busy sidewalk, has prompted officials to urge New Year's Eve revelers in Las Vegas to leave bags, backpacks, and strollers at home; police are getting ready for hundreds of revelers to flood the casino-filled corridor, according to US News

If you are too far away from Las Vegas and want to watch online or live stream the event, that is possible.  Remember that Las Vegas is on Pacific Time, and some good views can be found on EarthCam with some Las Vegas webcams.  It might be difficult to find a TV broadcast of the event unless you are local to Vegas.
