In the months since Bobbi Kristina Brown, daughter of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston, was found floating facedown in her bathtub at her Georgia home. Since then, there has been some progress in her recovery, but the latest update on Bobbi Kristina Brown's condition has shown a lot of feuding with the Houston and Brown families.
Since the passing of Whitney Houston, both the Brown and Houston families have been feuding over Bobbi Kristina's $20 million estate that she inherited from her mother. This estate will pass on to Cissy Houston (Bobbi Kristina's grandmother) and Bobbi's uncle Gary in the event of Bobbi's death. Bobby Brown has filed for guardianship over Bobbi Kristina's estate, but Whitney's will puts its custody under Cissy Houston. Cissy has claimed that she intends to fight Bobby Brown "to the grave" over her granddaughter's estate.
It seems what is making the situation worse is the feud going on between the Houston and Brown families. According to Enstarz, Bobbi Kristina's cousin and Bobby's nephew, Jerod Brown, took to Facebook to call out Cissy for dissing Bobby.
Jerod wrote via Facebook Thursday night: "Cissy: So now the blame of auntie Whitney is my uncle Bobby? No disrespect grandma Cissy, instead of you pointing fingers to a man that gave as much of himself as she did, a love neither one of us can digest, embrace, create, understand or survive through, try pointing that same finger to find out what truly happen to auntie Whitney. your daughter," he said.
A recent report from News Every Day has revealed that the Houstons want to shift Bobbi Kristina Brown from the rehabilitation facility in Atlanta where the 22-year-old is ailing to her Georgia home. This is the same place that she shared with boyfriend Nick Gordon, and where she was found unconscious in the bathtub. The family feels that Bobbi Kristina Brown, at home with memories of her late mother Whitney Houston, will do some good.
Enstarz reports that Dr. Mark Liker, a Medical Director and Neurosurgeon at Dignity Health Nothridge hospital, came forward with his thoughts about Bobbi Kristina's health. It should be noted that he has not personally treated Bobbi Kristina herself.
Dr. Liker has stated that Bobbi Kristina requires physical therapy on a regular basis, moving her arms and legs so her limbs do not go into permanent contraction. He also stated that they [doctors assigned to Bobbi Kristina] will keep trying to get some sort of response from her with "frequent impulses for the leg to the brain". This type of treatment could improve Bobbi Kristina's ability to function and lead to a speedier recovery, provided there are not any blood clots or infections.
International Business Times also quotes Dr. Liker as saying that "I'm sure that the facility is doing the best that they can in terms of rehabilitation and ways to help her," but also adds that patients such as Bobbi Kristina have the potential to remain in a rehabilitation facility "essentially forever".
At this point, it is both a medical and legal battle concerning the health of Bobbi Kristina Brown, and it really shows no signs of ending anytime soon.
