Cloud Strife set to exhibit his swordsmanship in Smash Bros.
Cloud Strife, the protagonist of Final Fantasy VII, will apparently be joining the playable roster of characters in Super Smash Bros in the near future.

Recently, Nintendo revealed the new character for its famous fighting video game "Super Smash Bros 4." Final Fantasy's most iconic character is now included in the game though the actual DLC release date is still a mystery for gamers.

Even though the release date remains under wraps, "Super Smash" players are happy to know that a new playable character was introduced. The character is the famous "Ultima Weapon-wielding" Cloud Strife from the "Final Fantasy VII" series. Some fans didn't expect that Cloud Strife would make it to the next "Super Smash Bros 4" DLC characters.

During Nintendo's Fighter Ballot, which ended on October, seven possible playable players surfaced as rumored additions including Dixie Kong and King R. Rool from Donkey Kong Country, Inkling from Splatoon, Ridley from Metroid, Isaac from Golden Sun, and Professor Layton.

Nintendo announced the new character during the recent Nintendo Direct event that showed the "Final Fantasy VII" protagonist preparing to fight in the popular video game.

At the end of Nintendo Direct presentation in November, the company teased another broadcast focused entirely on Super Smash Bros. this month of December.

The video, titled "Cloud Storms into Battle," showed how the sword-wielding character would battle anybody at "Super Smash Bros 4." The clip also featured Strife's signature Odin Summon move along with his impressive edge breaks on every opponent. In addition to that, gamers can use his "Limit Break" and "Omni slash" when the DLC is released.

The Fighter Ballot lets fans decide who will be the next character addition in the popular fighting game. Masahiro Sakurai, the Game Director, initiated the ballot system after the release of "Super Smash Bros 4" on Nintendo Wii U and 3DS in April.

However, the release of Ryu from "Street Fighter" and Roy from "Fire Emblem" to "Super Smash Bros 4" in June were not ballot-related.

Some reports say Shovel Knight might be included in the next list of DLC characters of "Super Smash Bros 4." With the release of Amiibo figure of Shovel Knight, some fans believed that the Yacht Club Games character is one of the last three rumored DLC characters.

In a game review published in IGN, it says Super Smash Bros. for Wii U's eight-player-battle-mode is an excellent arcade experience. Each character displays fantastic personality in combat, drawing on a rich history from dozens of different favorite games. As players strike, dodge, block, and weave each other, the match builds up to a climax that's genuinely fun and exciting.

"Nearly every aspect of Smash Wii U seems fine-tuned not only to appeal to the nostalgia of long-time Nintendo fans but also to be accessible to new players," IGN review wrote. The reviewer gave 9.8/10 score for the Super Smash Bros.
