For those of you who are not aware of Mobile World Congress (MWC), it is a big mobile convention held annually in Barcelona, and this year's dates are from March 2-5.  LG has already used CES to announce the LG G Flex 2, and gave some more time on the phone at MWC. However, everyone is wondering when will the LG G Flex 2 will have a release date, and for what carriers.  Here is what we know.

When we reported on the LG G Flex 2 at the end of January last month, we said that AT&T and Sprint were the only two accepting pre-orders.  In fact, you can check out the Sprint Newsroom and discover that the pre-order process began on February 20, and it will be available on March 13.  We also reported that Verizon and T-Mobile will be expected to jump on board with pre-order information in February.

Well, it is now March, so I wanted to follow-up on whether or not the G Flex 2 is available for Verizon and T-Mobile.  I just visited the Verizon store and checked out their selection of LG smartphones.  I found a few popular models like the G3, but no sign of the G Flex 2. I also took the time to head to the T-Mobile store to see what LG smartphones they have available.  I found more LG phones than Verizon, but still no sign of the G Flex 2.

Just to remind our readers, we were in the room when LG announced the curved G Flex 2, but here's what we wrote on it then.  Like its predecessor, the phone is beautifully curved in not just one place, but four (the front, back, and both sides).  It has a 5.5 inch with 1080p full HD display, and has some other advancements like a new chipset and laser auto focus.  There is also a new interface for a "Glance View", and Gesture shot for "better selfies".  The back has a "spin hairline pattern" healing scratches in 10 seconds and the phone is available in Platinum Silver and Flamenco Red.  The final bonus is in the battery life which can go from 0 to 50 percent in 40 minutes.

You should be able to pick up the LG G Flex 2 from the Sprint store for $199.99 after $50 mail in rebate with qualifying data plan and 2-year agreement and activation.  A quick trip to the AT&T store has revealed that the LG G Flex 2 is "Coming soon", with no word on a definite price.  I'm surprised that Verizon and T-Mobile haven't got into this G Flex 2 act yet, but perhaps they do not wish to risk their business on a phone that is trying to set a new standard.  Also, LG is definitely going to announce the G4 sometime later this year, and this is really the company's flagship phone, and will probably be available with all U.S. carriers.
