Ever since the success of LG's flagship phone, the G3, there have been two questions on everyone's minds recently: 1) When will the G4 come out?  2)  When will the G3 be getting Android 5.0?  To answer question one, the G4 will be out quite soon.  As for the Android 5.0 update, most LG G3 subscribers on either Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, and T-Mobile might have it already.

According to Phone Arena, the LG G4 is set for a release date of Q2 2015, even LG's mobile Chief Cho Ju-no will not give any indicator of anything more specific than that.  If we look at last year's unveiling of the LG G3, that was on May 27th, and it launched right away.  I suppose that we should expect something similar from LG within the next two months with the LG G4.  The real selling point of the LG G4 could be the price, as it could be more affordable than the Galaxy S6 and the iPhone 6 at $100 on contract or $550 off contract.

Phone Arena also goes some speculation about the specs, as there have been rumors that the phone could have a larger screen of about 5.5 inches.  There are also rumors of it having a fingerprint scanner, which is important as the company doesn't have a device with one right now, and it could really use one in the age of mobile payments.  On the inside could be an octa-core Snapdragon 810 64-bit chip, and it will have Lollipop 5.0 (Android 5.0 or Android L) right out of the box, along with LG's updated UX 4.0 custom skin.  The camera could be as high as 20 Megapixels, making it significantly larger than the LG G3's 13 Megapixel model.

Much of the rumors of the LG G4 specs match what has been seen on other sites, such as Android Pit.  In fact, with the LG G4 could also bring a new stylus known as the G Pen, according to Phandroid.

What is really causing a stir is the presence of LG G4 cases.  It is common to have the case unveiled before the smartphone is officially announced, and the case for the G4 is ever-so-slightly curved, according to TechRadar.  It is not as pronounced as the G Flex 2, but it is there.

With the anticipation of the LG G4, it still does not answer a particular question from LG G3 users as far as the update to Lollipop will occur.  A recent article from Android Pit lists who has received the update as far as U.S. Carriers like Sprint, AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile are concerned

For example, Sprint was able to receive its Android L update sometime in the middle of February.  Of course, since Lollipop started to update Fall of last year, but this was a slight delay.  It appears that AT&T also jumped on the bandwagon and has offered the Android L update to their customers.  According to Android Central, Verizon seems slow out the door when it comes to the Lollipop update for the G3.  There seems to be no word on T-Mobile as well.

To this writing, it looks like we'll probably need to wait another two months before we'll see any sign of the LG G4.  As far as the Lollipop update for the LG G3, hopefully it won't take long before Verizon and T-Mobile get it out, assuming that they haven't already.
