The current MacBook models have always been better than other laptops in the market, but some users are starting to get tired of it. Now, several tech websites say the next-generation of MacBook Pro and Air will come at June's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2016. Here is the latest news on the web on the release date of Macbook Air, Macbook Pro 2016.

Earlier this week, Best Buy removed all of the 12-inch MacBook models on its U.S online site. With that move, many tech experts believe new Macbook Air and Pro models will come in the next couple of weeks.

The online retailer listed all of 12-inch MacBook as "no longer" available, and some remained available for purchase or in-store pickup.  Additionally, some MacBook Air models are on sale with 50%, potentially signaling that a broader Mac refresh will happen very soon.

It is also worth mentioning that it has been 374 days since Apple released the current 12-inch MacBook on April 10, 2015, so it not surprising if the company decides to unveil a new batch of Macbook models.

A report from the Verge predicts that next-generation MacBook Pro and Air will be revealed during the WWDC 2016 in June.  Rumors also hint that the Cupertino-based tech giant will give the Macbook Pro a major redesign to satisfy many gadget lovers who are patiently waiting for the next powerful laptop.

We previously reported that Apple already confirmed the schedule of this year's WWDC. The gathering will happen on June 13-17, 2016 at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.

Meanwhile, Apple released a set of updates to its MacBook devices with new processors and improved battery life. According to the company's press release, the updated Macbook comes with sixth-generation dual-core Intel Core M processors up to 1.3 GHz, partnered with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.1 GHz. Also, it is equipped with New Intel HD Graphics 515 the can produce 25 percent faster graphics performance.

Furthermore, the new Macbook has up to 11 hours of battery life, an hour longer than the current 11-inch MacBook Air and an hour less than that the 13-inch MacBook Air.

With that being said, let's wait and see if the Macbook Pro and Air 2016 will debut at WWDC 2016. It is interesting to take note that Apple is the most reliable innovator in laptop design for years, so the next-generation laptops will probably be worth waiting for.
