The third and possibly final bout between Timothy Bradley and Manny Pacquiao is all set to go down this weekend and various boxing experts are already sharing their thoughts on who will win. They noted that even though each fighter has his own strengths, they also have their own shortcomings, which could cause the spark for their downfall.
In a report by Forbes, one of the analysts who shared his thoughts on the upcoming match is Errol Spence, a professional boxer who currently has an impressive 19-0 record. For him, Bradley will come out as the winner given his hard training and personal experience squaring off with Pacquiao in the ring.
Also, another factor that could affect the Filipino boxer's performance is the issues he is currently going through. One of these is the anti-gay comments he made earlier this year, which immediately drew the ire of the public. Ultimately, this issue and what he went through could distract him from focusing on what he has to do inside the ring.
On the other hand, Nacho Beristain, the trainer of Juan Manuel Marquez, believes that Pacquiao will be declared as the winner tomorrow. Beristain trained Marquez in his fights against Pacquiao and Bradley, which means he's very familiar with how these two boxers fight. For him though, the American boxer has not changed much since the last time he faced and lost to Pacman in the ring in 2014.
The trainer noted that Pacquiao knows this too, which is why he chose Bradly as his opponent for his presumably last professional fight.
"I don't think Bradley will have a greater opportunity [to win], because Bradley is the same [fighter] - with that stinking, fast and difficult style," he told ESPN Desportes via Fight Saga.
"[Pacquiao] is not going to walk away [from boxing] with a loss, so he chose Bradley," he added. "And Bradley is a good fighter but we all know who will win unless Bradley becomes a different fighter than what he has shown throughout his career."
Marquez also offered his insights on the upcoming bout but refused to name a clear winner for him. Instead, he warned Bradley about being stagnant inside the ring because that's when Pacquiao's speed will get to him.
