The on-going verbal tussle between five-division world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr., and MMA superstar, the first and current UFC Women's Bantamweight Ronda Rousey, is almost nearing fever pitch.

But a fight between fighters is almost impossible and farfetched, Anthony DiMoro, a contributor at Forbes writes there is hope that the two could possibly meet inside the ring. The ring of the professional wrestling, particularly WrestleMania.

According to DiMoro, the WWE, and its popular WrestleMania franchise, can do many things that boxing and UFC are prevented from doing.

In terms of pay-per view alone, WWE's annual WrestleMania holds the record of sustained success that UFC and boxing cannot claim. During the WrestleMania 31 held this year, a record $12.6 million and $3.3 million in merchandise were sold.

The WrestleMania 30 held in New Orleans generated 75,167 in gate attendance that earned the city an estimated $142.2 million in economic impact for the city of New Orleans. The figure broke the previous $101.2 million earnings for the New York/New Jersey area for WrestleMania 29.

Those figures speak volumes which is the main reason why cities in the U.S. vie to host the event every year.

Indeed, a bout between Rousey and Mayweather Jr., speaks of a mega bout with big money with fans from different sports guaranteed to troop to the venue to watch live or buy pay-per-view subscription.

DiMoro writes, "A Rousey/Mayweather bout on a WrestleMania card would surely boost those impressive numbers and demolish any previous records while boosting the economic impact on a host city." He added, "WWE's global & social impact is undeniable and what makes the thought of Rousey/Mayweather squaring off at WrestleMania even more appealing is the price tag for fans to watch it on the WWE Network."

The author also did the math, WWE charges its subscribers $9.99 a month with no long-term commitment. This is definitely much lower than the pay-per-view being charged in any boxing or UFC matches. The cheaper pay-per view cost is expected to attract a much bigger number of subscribers with the fans on the winning side.

Mayweather Jr., and Rousey are not stranger to WrestleMania. Floyd 'The Money" made his appearance at WrestleMania 24 and even defeated "The Big Show," While Rousy tangled in WrestleMania 31 with the Rock.

With WrestleMania 32 taking place on April 3, 2016 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, the WWE is expecting the event to shatter the attendance records. This could also be the best time to cash in on the Rousey/Mayweather altercation.

And to make the fight more exciting, organizers of the event could make the match a tag team fight.
