The Charlotte Hornets will host Miami Heat for a Wednesday night matchup at The Time Warner Cable Arena. The home team will miss the services of center Al Jefferson due to a strained calf injury. On the other hand, the Heat aims to get themselves up after a disappointing loss to the Washington Wizards on Monday night. Watch how these two better Eastern Conference teams battle each other at December 9, 2015, 7:00 p.m. ET.

Basketball fans can also watch the game live via live stream at NBA league pass.

Hornets center Al Jefferson is expected to miss at least two weeks to recover from his injury. However, the team has managed to win two of the last three games without the services of Jefferson, who averages 13 points and 6.4 rebounds this season.

The Hornets (12-8) won against Detroit Pistons on Monday. The team aims to continue their winning streak by defeating the Heat on Wednesday. On Monday's game, guard Marvin Williams scored 14 points and 12 rebounds, and Kemba Walker had 14 points and nine rebounds for the Hornets. The team outrebounded the Pistons, 57-41, despite the absence of Jefferson.

Charlotte is now 10-0 when scoring at least 100 points this season.

The Hornets fans are excited to see what would happen when their team square off against Miami Heat. The Charlotte Hornets have made big games at home. They won 9 of 12 games on their home court.

On another hand, the visiting team, Miami Heat (12-7), owns the second-best defense in the league as they allow 93 points a game. In their previous game, they showed though defense against Washington Wizards. The Heat only allowed Wizards to shoot 50 percent from the floor. However, the Wizards managed to get past the pesky defense of the Heat. They won 114-103 at the American Airlines Arena.

Miami Heat fans hope that Dwyane Wade will continue his terrific plays on the court. On Monday's game, he scored 26 points on 12-of-15 shooting to go along with nine rebounds and seven assists. If he could generate these numbers again on Wednesday's matchup, the Heat can beat the Hornets.

Aside from Wade, Chris Bosh can also score and grab rebounds for Miami Heat. He averages 17.4 points and 8.8 rebounds this season.

The Heat have yet to prove they can win on the road while the Hornets are getting real comfortable in their home court and are producing some solid numbers. Even if the Heat has more talented basketball players, the Hornets have thousands of fans on the court, which can generate energy for the home team.
