In fact, the latest announcement trailer that you see below deals with Middle Earth: Shadow of War.

Warner Bros. has basically made all of it official with the release of the Middle Earth: Shadow of War announcement trailer. This will be the follow up game to Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor, and it looks like humankind is in trouble again as the Dark Lord Sauron gathers his strength and his mighty army to take over Mordor. The entire announcement trailer is computer generated without any real life humans shown, and the first gameplay is slated to arrive this coming March 8, 2017. Well, we are sure to keep a keen eye out on what is certain to be another YouTube video that will showcase the way the gameplay mechanics work without giving too much away.

Similar to Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor, Middle Earth: Shadow of War will be developed by Monolith Productions. You can be sure that this particular sequel will also feature fan favorites Talion and Celebrimbor who will make a return from the previous game. Both Talion and Celebrimbor have the unenviable task of going behind enemy lines, where they will then have to amass an army large and capable enough to turn the whole of Mordor against the Dark Lord Sauron. The Nemesis System that has picked up its fair share of bouquets from the first game? That too, will reappear, which ought to keep fans of the game more than happy.

As fo the official plot description for Middle Earth: Shadow of War, it is described as such::

In Middle-earth: Shadow of War, players wield a new Ring of Power and confront the deadliest of enemies, including Sauron and his Nazgul, in a monumental battle for Middle-earth. The open-world action-adventure game is brought to life through the expansion of the award-winning Nemesis System. The robust personalization from the first game is now applied to the entire world where the environments and characters are all shaped by player actions and decisions, creating a personal world unique to every gameplay experience.

Of course, Middle Earth: Shadow of War will not use the very same Nemesis System as seen in its predecessor, but it will be updated to keep up with the time while remaining relevant for the gamer. Sporting an element that is known as "Followers”, there will be characters that will add "entirely new stories of loyalty, betrayal, and revenge." Not only that, the Nemesis System is special since it enabled enemies to “remember” all of their previous encounters with the player, while sporting various personalities that made the game more relatable.

Shadow of War will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (Steam and Windows 10) platforms this August 25, 2017. .
