Pop singer Miley Cyrus has launched a campaign to raise money for the leading abortion agency Planned Parenthood, participating in a photo shoot and selling the racy images.

According to a report from W Magazine, feminist photographer Marilyn Minter recently took a number of photos of Cyrus in which the 23-year-old singer appears nude in a steamy shower. Each of the 50 prints will sell for $5,500.

Cyrus, who has shared several of the photos on her personal Instagram account, told the outlet she hopes the pictures will "make some big bucks for Planned Parenthood."

Designer Marc Jacobs will also sell t-shirts featuring other more sexually provocative images from Minter's session with Cyrus, including "Miley Hearts Planned Parenthood," and "Pro Choice Miley." The cost of the t-shirts is $60 each and will be available at Marc Jacobs shops on May 16

Minter, who had an abortion there in the 1970's, said she was inspired to take the photos after the release of a series of videos showing Planned Parenthood officials admitting to the procurement and sale of aborted baby parts.

"I'm of the age group where I remember when abortions were illegal and unsafe, and I thought this was behind us," she said. "They were being just inundated with controversy, and my mind was just thinking, 'Well, maybe we should take our inspiration from the marriage equality movement and the gay rights movement. Get public figures, corporations, and institutions to stand up and fight back.'"

She told the news outlet that she hopes the pro-choice movement will gain ground through the efforts of herself and Cyrus. Minter also praised the "Wrecking Ball" singer, whose organization, Happy Hippies, seeks to "fight injustice facing LGBTQ youth," as a "sincere little activist."

"I want to take our cues and inspiration from the marriage-equality movement," Minter said. "So, step the [expletive] up, everybody. Between us, we can do anything! This is only the beginning."

Breitbart notes that Minter previously designed Planned Parenthood pins that say, "Don't F**K With Me, Don't F**K Without Us."

As earlier reported by The Gospel Herald, Cyrus was raised in a Christian home and baptized in a Southern Baptist church. However, in a 2015 interview with Paper Magazine, the former "Hannah Montana" star criticized her parent's political views, calling them  "conservative-ass mother--kers," and mocked Christians who believe Noah's Ark was a real vessel.

"That's f--king insane," she told the magazine. "We've outgrown that fairy tale, like we've outgrown f--king Santa and the tooth fairy."

The outlet also noted that Cyrus "maintains a particular contempt for fundamentalist lawmakers who rally against this sort of progressive, potentially life-saving changes [for the LGBT] community."

In 2011, the singer's father, country star Billy Ray Cyrus, said in an interview with GQ Magazine that he regretted having her in the "Hannah Montana Show" and confessed that his family was cautious of the temptations within the entertainment industry before to going to Los Angeles.

"Somewhere along this journey, both mine and Miley's faith has been shaken...That saddens me the most," he said, adding there is "no doubt" that his family is being ruined by Satan.
