The latest installment of the Minecraft: Story Mode was released on November 24th. The third installment of the five planned episodes is somewhat based on the hugely popular Minecraft sandbox game. For gamers who want to continue their quest, they can download it on the following platforms: iOS, PC, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and Xbox One.
One can also have an exclusive access to all five episodes for $24.99, and Season Pass retail disc edition for Xbox 360 platform comes at $29.99.
For the price of Minecraft: Story Mode episode 3,"The Last Place You Look," it is available for $4.99.
The first episode of the game, "The Order of the Stone," was released in the middle of October, while the second episode, "Assembly Required," soon followed weeks later.
The Minecraft episode 3 contains a couple of decent puzzles, and this feature continues throughout the game. Also, some of the action sequences are multiple tense encounters with Minecraft's terrifying Endermen, an underwater escape, and a climatic encounter with Story Mode's big baddie.
The story of "The Last Place You Look" is about the adventure of Jesse across the Overworld, through the Nether, to the End, and beyond. Players must go out on a quest to find The Order of the Stone to save the Minecraft world from oblivion. Also, like Telltale's other games, Minecraft: Story Mode 3 is a game of choice and consequences, where the decision of player affects what happens later on in the story.
According to a review from GameStop, this third episode is the most complex Minecraft Story Mode has been so far. Players enjoyed the improvements from the simpler, black-and-white shading of previous episodes. Moreover, it is also the most emotionally wrought episode. Some of the scenes were quite affecting and addicting.
The creepy Endermen adds to the tension of the game. Their cold stares and open-jawed screams could make players jump out of their seats.
Some fans regarded the Minecraft Story Mode's third episode as the best so far, as the game weaves action and story in a tight, focused package. This is also another short episode of the game. Gamers can finish it in less than 90 minutes.
