Minecraft Title Update 20 for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4 and PS3 is Good, TU21 On the Way

By Mark Rollins
Minecraft getting another Title Update soon.

We have previously reported on how Title Update 20 (TU20) has fixed a lot of the bug problems of Mojang and 4JStudios famous open-world sandbox game Minecraft, and it has been going pretty well.  Soon another bug fix update of TU21 will arrive, and this will fix the bug problems still going on with TU20.

Two weeks ago, TU20 became available for PlayStation and Xbox consoles after Sony and Microsoft certified them.  The purpose of TU20 was to fix bugs found in the recent TU19, which was released over a month ago.  According to Inquistir, TU19 combined three PC updates into one, which included Pretty Scary, Redstone, and the ever-hyped Horse.  This is a lot for an update, which invariably led to some bugs.

Of course, as is common of fixing bugs in any software, it tends to create other bugs.  So how are the updates for Minecraft going?  Fortunately, there haven't been any widespread reports of the TU20 making Minecraft any worse.  There is a recent posting of all confirmed and unconfirmed bugs for Minecraft for the Xbox 360, according to Minecraft Forum:

  • Further Redstone issues - More examples required.
  • Player Inventory limit (Currently 80)
  • Minecart Limits
  • Horses Despawning (Tamed with no attachments)
  • Blaze Spawners/Chests Vanish after a Nether Reset
  • Invisible mobs - Animals/Mobs/Paintings after a player dies.
  • Animals jumping fences
  • Nether Mob cap issues - Reaching the cap far too quickly?

So, yes, there is going to be bugs, and these bugs might even be completely "dealt with" as far as programming issues are concerned with.  Fortunately, there is always going to be Title Updates as 4J Studios, developers of Minecraft, have announced on their official Twitter account that Minecraft's Title Update 21 (TU21) will be another bug fix update.  According to Inquistir, Title Update 21 will attempt to remove several in-game issues that console gamers may be experiencing as the patch will focus primarily on releasing a series of bug fixes across Microsoft and PlayStation platforms.  This is good news for players, but bad news for anyone expecting any new features like TU19 brought.

TU19 was delayed on the Sony PlayStations, but it the updates include some interesting new additions like Fireworks, which involves an interesting interface from the Crafting Table with ingredients to make a Firework Star or Firework Rocket.  There will also be an added "Adventure Mode" where players can only break blocks with the correct tool. There is an entire list on the Minecraft forum that contains updates like new Mobs like the Wither, Wither Skeletons, Witches, Bats, Horse, Donkeys, and Mules.  There will also be new sounds, new death messages, as well as an interesting beacon interface.  IGN also reports some other features such as the introduction of hardened clay, stained clay, blocks of coal, hay bales, activator rails, blocks of redstone, daylight sensors, droppers, hoppers, minecart with hoppers, minecart with TNT, redstone comparator, weighted pressure plates, beacons, trapped chests, nether stars, lead, and name tags.

So far, there is no word on when TU21 will be released, but I would imagine that it would be quite quick if bugs from TU20 on Minecraft still persist.
